There are hundreds of people/extras here and Dexter Studio who made the special effect in this music video and they said that this is their first time to do effecst in an MV. they are the one who made special effects in Kungfu Yoga and parasite work also this. The symbolism of the Lotus as it refers to himself in respects to haters and how he uses it to his advantage. Literally taking lemons and making lemonade. Also love how traditional it is, but at the same time has modern elements and the diversity of his background dancers. In Chinese culture or Buddhism, burning lotus flowers means nirvana.What makes the lotus great, and different, is that it grows in the mud of the lake, but its petals have one great characteristic! It's great that you really dig into the background of his song. Lay worth that!
The song, LIT, was initially created in January 2019, during an EDM song-composition contest that Lay and Anti-General (the co-producer of this song) participated in. The song is a mix of Dark Trap + MPOP. LIT music video was filmed in mid-December 2019. The MV director also said preparations for the MV filming started in June 2019. The MV production budget of over USD 1.4 Million was funded by Lay and his own studio.
LIT song is about Xiang Yu, an army general and a prominent warlord in China's history. His life story had also been spread over the years via China's traditional arts, including a popular Peking Opera play.
In part 1 of the LIT album that Lay released, the first 6 songs were all related to the stories of Xiang Yu, his Consort - Yu Ji, his battles and life stories
