The way I look at it, Regi is probably trying to get out of the scene with as much money as he can. And unfortunately for any TSM fans, Regi's ego is too big for him to simply sell """his""" team.
And so the slide into obscurity begins. I'm sure Regi will be far happier hoarding his money in his private bunker, since he can't even be arsed to make a statement, and fans will eventually move on.

Its funny to me that Reginald always defined himself by his succes and put himself over others when in reality he was just a gamer who was at the right spot at the right time, he wasnt even significantly good which is also the reason for his early retirement. He just got incredibly lucky to have some of the greatest e sport personalities on his team, his succes came from other people and he literally had to do nothing but harvest the goldmine and he managed to even fuck up that. This man has no accomplishments but an ego as if he achieved everything. His downfall is deserved. He showed time and time again that he doesnt want to better himself. He is just a bad character and his downfall was his own doing.

In all fairness, it was impossible for that announcement to ever come. That's because when the org made it public that they would be selling their LCS slot, they said they would be relocating to *another tier 1 region* , and since TSM wasn't playing in a tier 1 region at that time, it was impossible for this fact to come to fruition.

Tbh at this point the best thing Regi can do for both the org and protecting his own wealth is to simply sell the org while the name "TSM" still has some remaining value. It can be absorbed into one of the newer esports orgs that are well run but don't have a strong brand name. Hire a couple of beloved former TSM figures to be players, coaches, streamers or whatever in order to create a sense of continuity between the old TSM and the new TSM, and boom, you probably can bring back a decent number of the fans lost in the last few years AND save a legendary pillar of esports history

TSM fans? Where? Who? How are there any fans for an "ESports Org" that barely has any players? Does TSM even have a player at this point? TSM fans have always been the Bjergsen fans, Doublelift fans, Beaulo fans..... fans who are invested to the beloved players. Its history is because of the players and what happened here should be a wake up call to NA Esports Orgs. Your brand can be full of history and achievements but no matter how much money you spend, its always the players that makes your brand alive. Not your lambo flexing, smooth brained CEO or owner. BE GRATEFUL TO YOUR TALENT👏👏👏

The deal with FTX was not partnership. It was a handout. Plain and simple. They got used to a certain level of available cash on hand and adjusted their business and lifestyles accordingly. When this stopped they could no longer afford those adjustments. These aren't astute business people running sustainable operations, they're gamers who have amassed a following and income's from sponsors and ad revenues. Neither are great income streams.

I think people need to stop looking at TSM as an org to learn from in its early heyday and look more towards what Optic has down and how Hecz as an owner to co-owner to OWNER again is the best thing you want in a org a man willing to see how shit selling out the org became that he works so hard to get it back and make it his baby he can grow without the claws of corporate

i think this is bad reporting and biased ... according to Twitch, TSM has 44 content streamers...and didnt TSM win ALGS: 2023 Championship? and if you go to the team site, they have an active roster, maybe non competitive for CS, Fortnite, Valorant and Apex. Not including content creators, that stream PUBG, Apex, Tarkov, and various FPS and other games... saying they have 9 employees is bad reporting or half arse biased reporting... AND lets NOT forget.... the RIOT LCS also partnered with FTX... so we cant blame the FTX deal was their downfall...

Pretty obvious it was FTX. Bankman liked to sponser people and brands he liked to get time with them. A $210 million dollar contract over 10 year is $20m a year. For a company that valuation is based on $50m in revenue that mean essential half of your revenue is gone tomorrow. You really have no other option at that point.
