I have a Nalgene bottle. Love it. I started working for Nalge in 1985 for the tubing product department. Then in 1998 my boss now Bill Scott and King Beck bought the business. It's been 38 years for me making tubing and still make Nalge tubing to this day. Very proud to have worked for Nalge. Great products from a great company.
Have my Nalgene container for a year now and I honestly think it will last for more than a decade as long as i don’t lose it. Good quality product indeed 👌🏼
These are the best bottles of all time. noting can beat them. I've had mine for just over a year and it still rocks the socks in terms of durability. The best best thing about these is that they are still made in the US.
I will be a Nalgene customer for life. Despite being made in the USA, their prices are very good. I've used the 32 oz "wide mouth" for about 15 years and recently got the 24 oz "On the Fly." Love them too. The Tritan plastic they are made with now isn't quite as strong as the old polycarbonate, but it's much safer to drink from. It's a good trade-off.
16oz Woodsman with burnt orange cap = Nalgene perfection. Perfect bottle that fits everyone from a four year old to an 80 year old and everyone in between!
When I started my old job they gave me a nalgene bottle as a boarding gift and over a year later although I don't work their anymore I still use the bottle and have used it almost every single day since first getting it and if it ever fails me I'm sure to buy another one. It's been through some much and still holds up.
I dropped mine off a 20 ft cliff in Oregon and threw it at a redwood and it lasted a total of two years till one day I dropped it on hardwood floor and it shattered but I sent it in and got a new one and a t shirt. Always trust this brand
@grey_d 1792 its just like if u throw a phone on the ground on purpose it doesnt shatter but when it accidentally slips outta ur hands it shatters xDDD
@grey_d 1792 the angle it fell at it might of, it could've hit a weak spot that crossed it to crack, and/or it had fallen 20 ft prior so it was already damaged.

Got to keep all these awesome jobs going strong just like our parents or families did for us as we were growing up. I grew up in Skaneateles New York class of 1980 and born in Syracuse NY. Hard work pays off in all ways.... Keep up the great work Nalge. I'll always be proud to have worked for you starting in 1985-1999 🥂
Is it true that the company started with making laboratory equipment like polyethylene bottles and test tubes? Cause whoever came up with the idea to rebrand the product as sports / outdoor equipment was a clever person.
I am a big fan of Nalgene. At home, I will heat water to almost boiling. Then pour into the Nalgene bottle. This is not to purify tap water. It is to let the water cool and create a vacuum in the bottle. I then make a label with the date and pack the bottle in my backpacking/camping kits. The water is good for about one year. Lesser quality bolttle melt when hot water is put in them. Of course, I also use Nalgene for daily use. Nalgene is the only "plastic" bottle I buy.
Yeah, they print the logo and emblems fast, but at the same time the prints are usually the first to chip off.. aside from that, Nalgene is one of the most reliable water bottles I have owned..
I had a hydro flask and it lasted less than a year. The seal gave up and I just could not get another one. Got a nalgene and I have never been disappointed. Does everything I need it to do for a price that doesn’t break the wallet.
I love these bottles use them for ages, my first decades ago was a PE but the Tritan are the best. I recently bought 2 bicycle stem bags which are big enough for 32oz bottles and I ditched my standard bicycle bottles because I prefer the Nalgene fitted with OTF caps for bike touring bike packing + bike camping.
I just got one for Christmas I like the screwtop because they don’t leak like half of the water bottles do nowadays and they’re just solid good nice water bottles to be honest
I’ll be on my third one here shortly but I have only paid for the first one as Nalgene stands by their lifetime warranty. After about of few years of daily use and drops mine have burst out the bottom when dropped on concrete or other hard surfaces with a lot of water in the bottle adding to weight and impact. Great bottle and the lifetime warranty is awesome.
@@KiwiKoala21 heck yes. Just go onto their site and go to the Contact Us section. Once there, select the “US/Canada Warranty/Replacements” and fill out the information with a photo of your bottle and how it broke. You do not need to fill in the order number section. Also include the bottle and new color you want. That’s it 😊
I bought a stainless steel nalgene 38oz. LOVE it. I would love to see how they are made, I can’t find anything in the stainless version. It feels like maybe it’s made out of a solid block of steel, as in one piece with no welds. I can feel something on the immediate underside inside the bottle that feels like machine marks from it maybe being bored out, idk.
That is the only nalgene bottle that's not actually made by nalgene. It sucks that we have outsourced almost all stainless steel manufacturing to China.
Wrong, single use bottles contain ingredients that after some time aren’t very healthy. That’s why there’s a best before date on mineral water. Recycling doesn’t mean that something disappears, it means that it can serve another purpose after it’s thrown away. Some plastics are recyclable, some aren’t because for example they’re so thin you can’t do anything with them, like single use plastic bags
@@bartomiejm4611 Single use plastic bags are still great for cutting apart into loops to chain together to practice knitting, crochet and nalbinding. Some of these loops do break, most survive to become something new anyway. Industrially though, yes, plastic bags tend to clog recycling systems, so humanity has to be creative to recycle them industrially, but they can serve at least one purpose.
@Eye in the Sky that’s close enough, the quality is still there. I just personally think after a decade of buying them that the woodsman is by far the best color. I use a woodsman 16oz and a clean nasa 36oz currently.
