In the last olympics, a lot of Brazilians felt a type of kindred spirit vibe from the pinoy athletes and, after getting curious about it, a bunch of people doing some basic research online got surprised by how much daily life in some partes of the Philippines reminds us of Brazil, more than any other country in southeast Asia, lol As for me, I am now contributing to the kickstarter of an animated movie from the Philippines, by a completely independent studio, which I came across when the algorithm started pouring more and more content from there towards me.
