Holy shit 28 pounds for the Micro? I found a micro with the box for 60 bucks and I think this is a good deal but this is pretty cheap. This little gem gets more and more expensive
"I sold my other micro cause it was pink and it didn't look sleek in my collection".. Your hot pink Gameboy Color on the other hand looks quite sleek on your TH-cam channel banner.
For future reference: batteries that do that aren't dead. They just need to be revitalized. Plug the charger in repeatedly and eventually it'll start charging and working normally again.
JB Kwik is a miracle epoxy for tiny metal parts that need adhesion with minimal clearance but need legit strength. You can sand it and drill it. I've used it on plastic parts, metal parts and even to keep together a 16"×16" stone tile that shattered in front of my dad's fire place. I don't work for them lol. It's just legit epoxy.

I remember back in Primary school a kid brought in a gameboy micro and a copy of incredibles. It honestly seemed like the coolest thing we ever saw in the playground (it wasn't a great school or area)
I had never seen that console before in my life! Went immediately to eBay to go and look for one but my God are those expensive compared to just buying a DS Lite or something
Yes junior using common sense anything that is super limited and not widely mass produced is going to be expensive, you learn about it in school called supply & demand ;).
Anyone has solved the *faceplate hitch* problem? (internal plastics 3D print or alu-made part) It's like the biggest in-need spare part GBM owners search for - anyone who would do it would easily earn $10-15 per part WORLDWIDE (thousands of people would buy it instantly if anyone would try)
My favorite handheld system. The size of it is perfect. Was really hoping for a Switch Micro. I'm called OCD with my video games because I keep the so clean. Videos like this make me happy knowing I'm not alone. I always say video games break for 2 reasons. Being dropped or being dirty.
The switch lite is like a switch micro. My switch is clean and cosmetically appealing for the most part besides the scratches in the back from constantly being taken in and out of the dock.
I've always wanted a gameboy advance micro if I can find one cheap enough soon I may order one of those and a few of my favorite games where did you get that awesome pocket knife from man.
my mum got me one of these brand new when i was a kid back in 2006 and it was my first console that i loved and played for hours. I still have it today and now some are selling for $300-$400
I used to have the green one. It got stolen in 2008 while in my last year at school. I still miss the damn thing. IMO the best game boy that ever existed. Loved the metal housing and the brightness of the screen.
I had one of these in 2012, i sold it for a gameboy color. Kinda regret it now that the price jumped. Not as bad as what happed to my cousin who got one near its release. He lost it.
Nice vid! One little tip from my side: get some ultra cheap plastic screen protector foil and stick it on the display instantly after opening the device. I also had everytime the problem that my screens got dust or fingerprints on them after repairing the device. And even if i could clean it off i was sometime stuck with a slightly scratched screen. If you stick on the foil it will prevent that problem, just peel it off before u close it up again.
The screw on the battery door of my Game Boy Micro ended up stripped, so I decided to try to recycle one of the screws from an old broken floppy drive I had picked up. It turned out to be a perfect fit, and I've been using that screw on my Game Boy Micro's battery door ever since.
I managed to get a pink micro a few years ago on eBay, it had a starting bid of £20 and I got it for around 25 including postage. It was boxed too with charger although I have no idea now where the box has gone and the charger I haven't seen in ages. It's currently on display on my shelf. A really nice little handheld, a shame it didn't sell as well as it should have. They're fast becoming collectors pieces now so I'm glad I got one for a fairly reasonable price!
I enjoy watching your videos I tried doing a mod but never worked out watching your videos makes it look easy your like a professional modder I'm gameboy collecter your channel relaxes me I enjoy video games.
Hey Elliot, I got a GBmicro and wanted to clean it. When I opened the shell I realized that all the counter parts for the screws were broken from the inner frame. I started to reassemble and glue all the broken parts together but it is like a puzzle. I had a look online to find a replacement for it but I was just able to find kits for the outer shell. Maybe you can help me with this problem because I really want this GB micro in a good condition in my collection. It is the frame where the motherboard and the display are sitting in. By the way I love your content and you brought me into cleaning and repairing old GB models and Nintendo systems.
You can actaully clean those lanyards really easily. I had two that were horrible and black, I spent 10 minutes and they are like brand new just use soap and hot water with a sponge.
got my micro about 2007 brand new at a store for 49€. still got it boxed and barely used. just found out the the prices for that awesome little things slowly went insanely high. i hope i get a chance to get one cheap so that i can really use it. mine is just too good to play with :D
I bought the same model "new in box" for a few euros back in 2007/8. The console is still in good condition. Sometimes I still ask myself: why? Why i didn't buy two Game Boy Micro when I got the chance ???
When I was little I had a gameboy micro, and I loved it. But when I moved a few years ago it got lost. They are so expensive and hard to find at a good price
I’m starting a game boy collection So Far I have a Rare Pikachu GBC and A Transparent GBA SP with a broken hinge. All I gotta get is Original Gameboy, Gameboy Pocket, Gameboy Light, Game Boy Advance and the micro!
Wondering if and where you got the screws. Ive just received a second hand micro today and its missing 1. Plus the clips are broken too, although the frontplate seems to just hold on to what is left of it. Any tips regarding shops to buy the screws and/or spare frame from? Thanks!
@The Retro Future You Should see if you can get the plastic frame from a Gameboy micro 3D printed to make future repairs with broken frame bits much easier for faceplate fixes.
Hello I’m a fan of old consoles but sadly can’t afford to do these videos and I live in jersey as well, if you’re talking about Jersey C.I, I’m just glad there’s someone who makes these videos on our boring island
I’ve always wanted one of these from when I first saw them but I’ve never gotten round to buying one, anyone know how much a decent condition one goes for?
I have a game boy micro and it works perfectly but the creamy coloured plastic part has broken and it can’t hold the on/off switch in place! I want to know if that part can be replaced. Thanks in advance😁
The only thing wrong with mine, has got to be the faceplate and it's weird scratches. Can't just throw whatever I want on it, though; it's the Famicom edition :/
Do you have an eBay (any) account that you sell your restored or old tech on? I would love to check it out I still have the gameboy Micro I got for Christmas when I was seven years old. I dropped it in the bathtub that year but dried it in front of a fan all night and it still works to this day 13 years later. Having my mom ship it to me now because I miss the nostalgia. It has a few glitches with turning on and battery life but I probably just need to replace the battery. I have the three original screens (silver, camo, and flame. But I lost the silver one) Oh and the first game I got for it (that my mom bought to go with the micro) was Spyro. Damn dude.
Did you ever get around to finding spareparts for your micro? I scored a micro but it was pretty beat down (cosmetically i mean). The coating on the L/R and Start/Select buttons has completely worn off! I would really like to get replacements for those. Any ideas?
I managed to get a bag of spare parts shipped to me from a guy in spain who was advertising them on a local sale app called wallapop. You might find some luck there!
Hello, I just restored my GBA Micro Famicom screen with Displex and I have tasks on the screen that have appeared and do not go away, an idea to restore it? the micro GAB screen does not behave at all like the others visibly :( Thanks for the help!
Before order a new battery, try charge it using your game Boy. Maybe on the grease one the charging port is dirty or damaged thus the inability to charge.
I have an original 20th mario anniversary micro that my father got me long ago. I have it on display in my room since 2015 but when I was younger I was careless and always mishandled it so it has a shit ton of deep scratches and marks. It still turns on and plays games but do you think its bad I want to get a new 20th anniversary shell to replace mine or does that take the authenticity of it being a 20th anniversary edition out of it. Thanks and I hope you make more videos like this soon!
The Retro Future the way I do it is with Tamiya Polishing Compound. It's actually for model airplanes and such (for the plastic canopees) but works amazing for game boy screens as well. Just use a dry cloth and polish away, no tools needed. Doesn't take that long to get good results either.
when I was younger my older brother told be NEVER to go on the Xbox and PS2 with dirty or greasy hands. I'm 18 and still wash my hands before gaming.
That's good to hear man! Haha!
Ali Ahmadi I do the same
Ali Ahmadi I WASH MY HANDS BEFORE MASTURBATING

That person must have been playing Finding Nemo and The Incredibles really vigorously to get it all sweaty and greasy.
My Game Boys always end up like that; I play on my lunch breaks. You know what fixes that though? Hand sanitizer. No fingerprints or germs.
Andrea Cook no there is 0.01 germs on it, as hand sanitizer only gets rid of 99.99 germs

Boxed for 60 is great!
if it was cheaper it would be cool as a Keychain accessory
Honeyball Lecter I fond a ripoff of it it,s so good and for 9$
I got a mint with box 30 Australian yesterday. Even came with carrying case
I bought boxet at 160AUD xD I consider that as a good price
even the gameboy micro has a headphone jack. come on apple
Frustratingly the GameBoy Advance SP didn't have a standard headphone jack, and didn't come with a free adapter either :/

I feel so sad when I see the MICRO
and I hate seeing these beautiful things with bad wear and tear damage.
Such a beautiful unit, sucks they released it at the wrong time.
Yeah I know what you mean, it's a bit of a shame. A cool item to play on though!

True, given that it was the authentic lanyard probs
