Hi Paul, always happy to watch a new video from you. Well explained, and the nice weather in Spain provides good feelings for the upcoming spring in Germany as well. I have actually been riding my Voge DS 900 X throughout the winter in Hamburg as long it was at least 2 or 3 degrees Celsius. One way to the office is 13 kilometers, and with heated seat and grips it was no problem at all. Love my beast from Chongching!
@@OliverVoge900 Thanks for the feedback, Spring is around the corner my friend, with the heated grips and seat and some good winter gear, the Voge DS 900 X is not a bad place to be when it’s cold. But even better in warm weather ✌🏻
I plan on a couple of things. Every time I go near an electrical connection I'm applying dielectric grease. Additionally for no particular reason I don't like Chinese nuts, bolts and screws so I'll probably change those if I ever understand them.
Paul, did you check that you set the chain adjustment with the centre stand down. My sports bike manuals state set stood perfectly upright, without stand down & to double check fully laden, Inc rider on board, chain taught, but not over tight. Good to see the Spanish sunshine 🌞 ☀️
@@keepitreal1547 yes same reading on the side stand. That’s why there is so much tolerance in the setting 35 to 45mm unladen, it gives enough tolerance for weight and the long travel on the swing arm. Just had a late afternoon ride, really nice time of the day to ride. 👍
Your bike looks beautiful buddy!!...as I said you before?...mines coming end of march. I would hope any advice given by your good self would be warmly received by anyone who doesn't know how to do certain things. Top bloke 👍👍👍
I appreciate also this video.Thank you very much for sharing knowledge. I wanted to ask about the 2nd drain plug, do we have to change it every time we change the oil?
@@spiroskaltsoukalas9692 Hi thanks for your support. When changing the oil it is advisable to remove the second plug as there is an internal sump that holds a bit of oil. I didn’t remove the second plug when I changed to summer grade oil 5w 50 because my bike had just had its 1000km oil change and the amount of 5w 40 remaining the dealer had put would have made little difference to the viscosity. Ride safe ✌🏻
If you ask me after reading Voge manual “Parking Rack” is sidestand, “Standing Rack” is centre stand. Chain measurement is taken on Parking Rack according to manual
Blimey! Tensioning markers wrong from the factory, that's poor. When measuring the slack don't you think the full travel should be measured by pushing chain down as well as up as the diagram on the swinging arm shows?
I’ll try the measuring down method from the swing arm and taking away the upward measurement tomorrow and let you know if there is any difference. The Tension marks on my RE super meteor was the same from factory. A simple alignment tool connected to the rear sprocket will show if the chain is out of alignment. It would be handy if they were the some though
Hi Paul, danke für deine Erklärung zur Kettenspannung..!
Wir haben hier heute -6°, also mir zu kalt momentan ;-)
Yes even with heated seat and grips, that's a bit cool.🥶

Excellent vids. Many thanks. Keep them coming
Nice walk round Paul - Enjoy Ur bike bud 🙂

Also on chain measure seems to 'top out' if you try for maximum deflection?
Very unusual for that slack to be measured on centre stand, you sure about that

BMW Manual says to measure on Sidestand
@@guestappearance3211 yes you are right, it was the exact same measurement on the side stand 👍
