Ondoy Aftermath, Bagong Silangan, Q.C. - Sept. 30, 2009 (Part 2)

Students from UP Diliman, Ateneo, UST, and Our Lady of Fatima Univ. brought relief goods to the victims of Tropical Storm Ondoy in Bagong Silangan, Q.C.
Volunteers from the UP Student Catholic Action (UPSCA), together with students from Our Lady of Fatima University, were able to deliver some goods to the remote areas of Brgy. Bagong Silangan. (Malaking barangay ang Bagong Silangan, kaya marami nang organizations ang nakapaghatid doon.)
We were able to see the devastation caused by Ondoy at a nearby river several kms. away from Wawa Dam. One portion of the riverbank had been damaged by a quarrying operation, thereby filling the river and low lying areas with thick brown mud.
