The looms all seem to be producing narrow fabric widths and are the picks/min speeds quoted the normal operating speeds or just for demonstration purposes? I worked in a weaving shed 17 years ago with Toyoda water-jet looms operating at 760 picks/min with a fabric width of 204.6cm.
same here.i'm just a cleaner at BELGOTEX FABRICS(formerly bealeu pacific)and it's just interesting to just momentarily watch them.but over the years,since 2005 we've used second hand looms,however since about 2016-17,we replaced 4 of the outdated ones,they were about 60 yrs old,with computer driven ones and just the other day,they removed another one.these were all the full contract looms and after i first started at this factory,15 years ago there 5 redundant low density ones which by now have also been replaced.we use the ITEMA THEMA BRANDS of looms and we're getting another new one which will be replacing it next year .

I am more interested in the accumulators/prewinders that can keep up with those looms, although I guess they are narrow

The Itema loom actually is an A9500 Airjet. The A9500 will run faster than 1000 also with significantly lower stops levels..

It's only for exhibition, in the practice it's very difficult reach that's speeds, picanol it's the best.
High tenacity yarn, and light construction, short width these speeds are possible
I worked on both Picanol Sumum and zax9200i Master. and I find zax more reliable. Also we did run it on 1200, 1100 . It's better Loom Picanol .

The landscaping fabric I've usually encountered is a nonwoven fabric made from synthetic material. It is fused together with heat I assume.
