I’ve seen people on other renos use IKEA wardrobes and shelves to hack into amazing walk in wardrobes!! It’s a much cheaper option. You can paint them too.
I’d caution against putting any furniture against (or closer than a foot to) radiators. Anything in front of them will block the radiant heat and make them much less effective (likely push costs up too), the warmth from them will also dry out the material the furniture is made from as well as joints and any glue holding them together and so the furniture won’t last long. Also ...... query ..... “Valentimes”? is that an ‘In Family Joke’?

We thought this ourselves but, where having a mantle built to block the heat and we have a lifted wall mount so the tv isn’t actually touching the wall.

There needs to be fireproof plaster like what you would use on an actual fireplace if your going to use a log burner there
