They named it Kotoka because that is the exact spot General Kotoka who was the leader of the 1966 coup that toppled the Dr Nkrumah Cpp government was killed.
That name Kotoka must be changed completely. How can a person who led coup to overthrow a our first President be given this honor? To name the Airport after the first President, Nkruma sounds more appropriate and certainly not Kotoka. @@andrewcoker1529
