Cracking job. I start 12 or so horse chestnuts every year and plant around the area. This year they will all be bonsai.👍

I’ve just sprouted a chestnut, found it germinating outside and took it and potted it into a pot and kept it inside. I’m going to bonsai it after I watch all your videos.

My horse chestnut is looking a lot different from the last video I made about it. Maybe I should do an update...

hopefully i will grow some nice roots and a thick trunk in this big pot.

@@FrameNature Yeah it will 100% explode this year for you. Not cutting the roots back and giving it that extra space is really going to help it fatten up!! Mine wont be in a big a pot as yours, so you should really see the extra growth compared to mine

Great video. I have a horse chestnut and I love the colour of the leaves at this time of year. I think that I would have pruned some of the roots as well; but what do I know?

    • @FrameNature

Roots 100% need work doing to them but i wanted to leave them to ensure the tree grew big and strong this year. Update on the tree and all the others coming soon.

Its hard to make decisions without seeing what it grows to be. But hopefully about 18-24 inches.

My trees are on holiday at a family members house at the moment. I have some footage but not enough for a video. Expect an update before winter.
