A good memory came to me as I watched this video. I had that same Animal Rummy card set as a kid. Played that game over-and-over with my Grandma...lots of giggles and smiles. Thanks for sharing all your creative ideas!!!
I MUCH prefer true vintage items used in junk journals rather than purchasing "ephemera" churned out to look vintage. I have the Monopoly board game that was given to me when I was around 8 years old in the early 60's. I've thought about framing the board since it's in good condition & using the paper money & deed cards in a journal.
Do you ever do journals for other people? I would love a Disney JJ and would even send you the papers & stickers to use in it? I love the two you showed

Oooh, that was so exciting to watch! :) I used to buy vintage books in the hopes of one day turning them into something grand, but I'd always end up reading them and falling in love with the stories. I really love the children's card games! The animals are dressed like the ones in Pinocchio!

Nice stash Diane. I love going to second hand and resale shops too, when I can. That bonus pack of kids playing cards you have was cards that they used for the game called Snap. I have that same set and I bought mine for 25 cents at an estate sale probably 35 years ago. Can't wait to see how you use all your goodies... Tfs Carrie

What a great haul! I know this is not the hobby for me, because I would be grabbing up everything and fill my house with stuff, but never get around to actually doing anything with it. But I definitely have a feel for it, I was excited by all your great finds plus I know you will actually use it. So much of that old stuff just falls into oblivion, who actually uses it anymore? So you will give it a second life. Now whenever I see cool stuff I will probably think "I should pick that up for Diane!" lol

Don’t know about you but I never even get close to being Breck-Girlish since I lived an Oceanside town (humidity)!
I live in land locked Pennsylvania, but that doesn't matter. I have curly hair which becomes very frizzy very easily! No smooth Breck 'do for me!
