personally i would get rid of the last chord and extend the second to last chord for the entire bar, it would loop a lot better, and also eq to bring out highs, lower the volume on the zenology track, and maybe change the notes on track 7 to make them a bit more noticable like other people have said. but ofc rlly amazing song so far tho, i like the overall vibe a lot. keep at it!
If you’re trying to loop, I’d keep it both beats for the final bar, but you could move the second beat down to a seventh or a fifth, which would allow it to kinda spring back to the start. If it’s just an ending sequence for a phrase, then I agree, keep it as one note extending through the whole bar.
the only way to keep the same intention is to get rid of the 6th one, if you really want to get rid of something in there.. It's a cyclic progression, and if you get rid of the last chord you take away the resolution part. Bach used circular progressions a lot, and even in contemporary music/scoring it's widely adopted (nightmare before christmas soundtrack, to name one on top of my head).
I would say the same. Think I'd really enjoy the spooky ambient vibe it gives without it especially with that deep bass to carry it through. Was imagining the intro to some indie horror game or something where it's talking about the origin story of the mysterious main character like a prologue sort of thing.
Thank you, nice lesson, it’s both simple, harmonic, captivating. In a few words: I loved it. You are great and I will follow you with great pleasure and curiosity to discover your magnificent talent
nice man, i wish i knew music theory - its mostly guess and check for me lol. have you messed with EQ'ing at all yet? - mess with it just on your bass sound and that alone will make this little diddy sound much more clear - keep up the good work
it doesn't have to just be a wish, learning it is quite fun when you have the right resources! the person that makes my favourite videos on it is michael new, with his music theory fundamentals series
@@aspol12 i will check it out, thanks for the recommendation! i've been trying to be more serious about absorbing the music theory knowledge lately by learning/re-learning just a little bit frequently rather than try to take it all in during one sitting - the right mental space was my issue for a while, but i believe things are looking up. cheers
idk if it helps but there is a video series made by TAETRO on youtube which focuses on music theory u need as a producer, its a 6 part series where u learn everything from the ground up in a structured and compact way. it rlly helped me with learning all the basic stuff and building on it later :)
Ik next to NADA about music theory (but I’m slowly learning) and I have to figure out wtf which notes fit into my key, modes, chords and it’s quite overwhelming (for it to still sound like hoo ha 💀) I FORGOT TO SAY I LIKE THE SONG LMAOO
these chords are the kind of things you play in band class as an exercise to help learn key, there’s a harmony version to go with the scales and they can be played together and usually the harmony sounds like this
1:17 to the note from the second beat of bar 2, that kind of sounded like a christmas tune that i just can’t think the name. if you’ve ever seen the movie elf, when he sets up the store the night before santa comes
why does it seem like a safe area cafe shop in the rpg game and then after that they go straight to the boss in the game and then thats where it starts getting better after for awhile for his health at like -=5000/5000=-
Dope now just limit it to 3-5 sounds eq learn the frequencies of ur instruments and put some banging trap drums on that thing also switch up ur chord lengths and trust ur ear
i don’t really know about creating music, but to my opinion track 7 is overlapped by zenology, yk when notes are on same positions you can’t hear track 7 notes in first half. i love the sound at all!
The progression is amazing, but (in my opinion) the ZENOLOGY have too much presence, because of 2 things: - The volume might be too high - The fact that the rhythm pattern is not in triplets like the other ones (the pattern below is also not in triplets)
The last part with the bass shivered my timbers
yee ol' scallywags!
@@ctrainbeats no, scallybass

You're right.
imo it loops perfectly right now. no, even better than perfectly, because it feels interesting

eh nah
Chord progression is beautiful ❤
Thanks !
i feel like the zenology stands out too much, but idk thats just me

im pretty sure that if they mixed it better it would sound better
@@johnshedIetskygive em a break they're learning music theory not mixing and mastering
Give em a break they're learning music theory not mixing and mastering
Was about to say that too
You’re rocking it man!!!
Very nice, gave me some N’to type vibes, keep it up to the 🔝
0:38 This could so easily be in an old rpg like King's Field
Something about this also reminds me of the Fable series! Iirc mostly Fable 2
0:15 made me think Runescape, the little melodies that run through the OST are kind of similar
KING'S FIELD 🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥
the final result sounds like a "portal 2 type beat"
The shivers. I love it

Really touching, keep it up 🔥
Keep taking that knowledge and putting it to practice
Man I miss music theory class. This is awesome!
these chords are the kind of things you play in band class as an exercise to help learn key, there’s a harmony version to go with the scales and they can be played together and usually the harmony sounds like this
this sounds lik something that would play in the glass desert from slime rancher
Dude this was pretty sick (awesome) !
Очень неплохо. Похоже на NF.
Продолжай в том же духе! У тебя большие перспективы развития :)
dudeee..... really good start dude.
keep it up man.
subbed i hope to see you progress!
my man 🤝keep at it!!

The nutcracker ?
@@ethanhere__1702 ahhh yesss that’s it
pls finish this, is awesome! I think it's perfect for a boss fight
Sounds like a futuristic sea shanty
I got Cynthia PTSD™ at 0:34
dope stuff. need to hear those kanye closed hats tho
You just need sound desgin and some arrangement and some other techical stuff and you`ll be rocking bro
This could easily lead to a dope 2013 NightKilla dubstep drop from one perspective if you ask me
u can use scroll to change current instrument in the piano roll :)
Gravity falls X Minecraft with some synth on the side
the second and third ones are just 🐟🐠🐡and 🐟🐠🐡v2 and I love it
For some reason, this reminds me of "Home - Even Dumber Awful Song From Hell"
Sounds nice! Reminds me of spooky scary skeletons ☠
1:30 those first 4 notes reminded me of demonic lil grey cat ;-;
Gives me Cynthia vibes
i was expecting a rick roll at the end, slightly disappointed
Sounds like the intro to fable 2 without the Zenology
Amazing, I feel like the zenology and along pad r a bit loud, but that bass sounds awesome
Glad you like it!
2:38 - end is all we needed
Reminds of my own song titled "Chase". Scary vibes
mystical beat lol
really good tbh I wouldnt even think about this
just needs a hard 808 and some snare! dope!
where are you learning music theory from? please drop some resources. Great video!
I mainly use books. But there are a ton if great TH-cam videos for music theory
the one at 0:25 reminded me of chaoz fantasy by ParagonX9
N64 Bowser's Castle on Mario Kart Wii
That was actually sick
If u made that last cord a diminished cord oooo that would’ve had a good ass end fr 0:06
But nice bro
i was thinking "if they learnt this in music theory it should sound really good" and it does :D
Muito Bom! E bem complexo! Good Job! Keep Improving.👊⚡
Gave be some Tim Burton Vibes at the start, then some remixing vibes after
love me a good iio chord
this reminds me of n64 tetris nice job
I love the Kanye West kick and snare giving me the side eye on the left
why does it seem like a safe area cafe shop in the rpg game and then after that they go straight to the boss in the game and then thats where it starts getting better after for awhile for his health at like -=5000/5000=-
i was waiting for the kanye closed hat to drop :(
Good job!
greate job! respect🔥🔥🔥
Sounds almost like bowser castle theme from marioksrt double dash 2, at times
Should be a song in super mario world castle levels
and after that you put a dubstep drop
WHO NEED BEATS👨🏾🍳
Song sounds like it’s from little big planet
this goes hard
wonderful upload.
Many thanks
So this is why music theo is important.. thanks
Dope now just limit it to 3-5 sounds eq learn the frequencies of ur instruments and put some banging trap drums on that thing also switch up ur chord lengths and trust ur ear
I wanna learn this too
bro youre insane
Sounds kinda messy but progression is nice
VERY NICE
perfect
1:11 u gotta fix the delay on those stabs so they’re on beat it sounds not so great 🙁
Reminds me of Mazy Fly, I like it
awesome stuff!!!
sounds like EO type sample
LET HIM COOK!!
hell. yeah.
Beat type Harry Potter
I'd turn the zenology down a bunch
thank you DazlMusic
This is fire! 🔥
good song what are you gonna name it?
oooo- this is nice
I have made melodies like this one but just dont know what to do with them, its like its too good of melody for a song i duunno
this for no reason reminds me giorno's theme
dude really couldn’t be bothered to just arrange it instead of unmuting everything one by one
nah
Imagine taking this back in time to Beethoven or Mozart
sounds good
i don’t really know about creating music, but to my opinion track 7 is overlapped by zenology, yk when notes are on same positions you can’t hear track 7 notes in first half. i love the sound at all!
Scrap the last chord the resolution is too soon
well what do you learned in the music theory?
The progression is amazing, but (in my opinion) the ZENOLOGY have too much presence, because of 2 things:
- The volume might be too high
- The fact that the rhythm pattern is not in triplets like the other ones (the pattern below is also not in triplets)
scooby doo ass melody
ctrl + k to change piano roll
bro took an entire day to show the project
i feel like the progression shouldn’t have resolved
This sounds like something Mozart would make, without the Zenology tho
WOOH, LOVE IT
