People seem to always make excuses to not call there moms bad moms . I’ve seen this a lot like they deny there mom was awful for letting there child be around abuse and to accept it towards them or there kids
What can a mum do when a young adult has a monumental shift from kid to teen. You can't lock them up, you got to trust them after each downfall just like you did when they were learning to walk, write, read etc etc. Like he said, he wanted that life at the time. Only so much mum and dad can do. They just got to mature.
my mom was terrible. she left me alone in the 3rd grade to baby sit my baby brother who was in diapers. ill never forget he and i being up late at night waiting for mom while i was playing super nintendo and he rolled off the couch, smacked his head on the ground and wouldnt stop crying. man ill never forget that feeling. shit was scary. let me walk home to a new apartment with her new man from school and i didnt know the way home. some random 6th graders in elementary (i was still 3rd grade) saw me crying in the ditch which was the walkway to our apartment row and these girls helped me find my way home because of the flags that used to fly in front of those apartments. i got home and two hours later my mom comes bursting through the door in tears and says she thought i was dead - when she should have picked me up. ended up cheating on that BF and leavinf me alone with a stranger while she had her fling with her new man, moved to minnesota for a month, came back with a black eye and pregnant with my new lil bro. i aint ever gonna cover for my mom man she shoulda done better.

Your mum obviously couldn't cope with parenting back then, but they way things were depending on your age, she might have had to relinquish all rights. I don't know the rules today, but I find it sad when I think of women thinking it will get better tomorrow for them and their kid's, but it never does. I am guessing the rules are just as distressing a choice nowadays. Such a massive decision.
My mom was a pos, got my first bm addicted to heroin, did all types of shit. We got taken away when I was 7 etc etc etc, at 39 I have a shit ton of horrible memories. My grandfather summed it up best, "shes a piss poor mother"
I love these Ian u also helped me with my alcoholism I went from drinking a bottle a day to detoxing while watching these cuz they're super long. I've also had been to prison and county jail 26 times from drugs
