I tried to do less "this"-ing for the explanations, but fell back into old habits during the actual Sanctum run. If you watch until (or skip to) the end though, you'll see why I had to keep this first take.
wouldnt brands or hexblast be the best though because you toss them on the ground and forget em? actively killing with blade vortex seems like itd take forever and higher risk of getting hit, at that point just use psrs
@@whateverppl1229 Yes brands or hexblast have a slight edge, but I'd argue BV is the next best up if you're not into the mine/brand playstyle. It's also definitely not slower in terms of killing, but does lack elusive.
Made a 24 div run 2 days ago with this run. This is the funniest strat to run sanctim but too much rng dependent. Just sold all my relics yesterday and got my mirror back
Instead of the spectre, you can run an AG with Kingmaker + Legacy of Fury + Leer Cast + Gruthkul pelt and 1 rare glove with t1 life regen rate (allows you to sustain degen on guardian blessing), if you have a free link you can put in meatshield but you shouldnt need to. I did this setup since 3.23 and works like a charm.
I actually tried that, and the AG died to a rain of arrows from an ice archer on the third floor of the first run, so I'm thinking it must be something about my clearing patterns that puts it in danger. Fortunately the spectres are sufficient for the boss burning.
I actually had a 16 Divine run just yesterday using this strat. It's pretty simple. Floors 1 and 2, aggressively seek treasure rooms, Merchants, and Pacts for -Resolve + Major or Minor buffs. Floors 3 and 4, Divines and Pacts, and when you get a Divine reward, Merchants. Sanctum and Heist are the only two ways I know how to make real currency in PoE. I've tried so many other strategies and never break 5D an hour.
map strategies are usually profitable but its annoying buying scarabs getting 8 mods or running t17s or getting priced out of your strategy and only certain strategies are actually easy to liquidate
@@CephuGaming The Currency Exchange Market has helped a lot on this front, I suppose, but you can't really beat the convenience of Sanctum either. It drops raw currency so most trades are just buying upgrades for your character. No interruptions to make a trade is a welcome feature, haha.
For sure, I think the only recent mapping strategy that beat it besides some of the ridiculous all-flame based stuff from Necropolis was the extra projectiles abysses from Affliction.
Thanks, even though I've seen this video, I was getting the boons that doubles first, then I was getting divines and I was questioning myself like what is going on, why don't my divines get multiplied. After seeing your comment now it clicked, lol.
Thanks for the great video! Sanctum is great and all, but I would also watch the video about the well-rounding the build to comfortably farm the t17 maps, cause I keep dying a lot there though my damage is fine and I try to avoid bad mods
Honestly, the most success I've had in T17s has come from just pumping damage and explosions. T17s take away your defenses AND your damage, but while you have to kill the monsters, there's no rule that says you have to get hit by them.
I like how u explained reduced merchant price scaling. I didn't know it was additive, thought it was multiplicative. What happens when you don't get any divs in ur run? Do u just lose the 2.5d chalice investment? And how often are you seeing sacred mirror? I'm my runs I barely see it, it seems super rare
Yeah you don't get a refund on the chalice if it doesn't get used or anything like that. Sacred mirror definitely seems to be rarer than the other majors, but if you can keep buying the minor->major upgrading boon and dilute the pool it comes up decently often. I've probably done 40 runs this league and gotten it 5-6 times (only 3-4 when I needed it though, sometimes you random it too early as well)
How would i get into this particular strategy? I've already been in sanctum jail since league start and been investing everything i have into my sanctum runner/alot into relics. Currently have full reveal, and 2 merchant relics I found but i cant find any with reduced merchant prices for under 15d
I'd start with a mix of 2-choice relics and 1-choice with some price reduction. Reveals are ok, but they're better for Original Sin runs when safety is everything.
Great video and great explanations, congrats. I have a full "one additional room" relics, do you think is worth to switch to 1 aditional offer ? Or is better to save more money first
Personally, I think “staying wide” is almost as good as having room reveals, and an additional choice never hurt anyone. Definitely worth building up towards
Do you think you could explain the crafting process for Wand, Shield, and Neck for this build? Have a good amount of currency and MB but unsure on the process for these.
I'm not sure what the process would be for the neck, since I bought it as is, and I don't know if it was intentionally a "two-mod" for the mist or what the creator intended. If you go on the discord there's info about the other two crafts pinned in the crafting discussion channel
Hey chronic love the guide. I currently have ralakesh and ~30 div and am looking for something to build a new toon for. Would you recommend taking your budget occultist build and beefing that up or going with the elementalist version and making it work without a mb?
It’s tough to say, because forbidden flesh/flame with forbidden power have been ridiculously cheap, and it’s hard to beat an elementalist with that stolen node on top.
@@ChronicPainless i actually need advice for a belt and amulet budget .. dont even know how to get that amulet ;O about belt i was thinking arns for triple damage (all res or hatred+skilleffect duration implicit) and somehow get attributes on small cluster and passive, but idk other solution was Micro-Distillery Belt with ele pen tincture on last flask slot, but also idk
I'm probably not using the strictly proper math terminology, but I think of scaling like that as different from something where it's closer to X^2. For example, if you think about how % increased explosion radius affects the eventual explosion AOE for expeditions, that's exponential scaling, because the area is Pi*(1+X)^2, but you'll never reach infinite area unless X is infinite. For merchant prices on the other hand, we're scaling towards an infinity that is much closer to us when X is just 1.
