Ring is very beautiful. I was wondering if you've done any rings with Black opal stones? I have a 9.8mm triangular opal, 5mm tall, That I'm going to be working on soon. I'll be using 22k gold as the base metal. I have roughly 11 grams of gold to work with. Any insight on a style of ring would be appreciated.

Iv recently delved into the exciting world of opals, and make jewellery.. Not near as well as this gentleman tho haha.. I never knew there was so much to know about opal till i got learning from an expert. They really speak to u when u first see them. But i dont have any black opal yet. On your comment though, i think it would look amazing in a real organic type design and setting.. I have one really cool design i had for ages that iv never seen anyone do😉 so cant wait till lock down is over and we all get back to work again. We been on our 3rd full lock down here and this one has been 4months and 8 days 😔 ,one month left 🤞.. Best of luck with your design, im sure it will look amazing whatever u decide🍀😉

I am so happy I found you, I enjoyed every second of the video. Wanna make this ring from my scrap silver. If you hear someone swearing, it is probably me, that is when the wire swirls fall off the ring when I solder another one on 😂😂. Did you used only one type of solder (medium, hard or soft)? How can I avoid that previous soldered pieces fall off the ring when i solder on other things? I have a heat barrier gel but you don’t use anything like that. Greetings, a big fan from the Netherlands

hi...i use 3 types of soldering medium hard and soft
you should have to use a fire with a small spot so the other parts don't melt.
I'm happy to share with you if something is not clear you can ask again 🙏💗

Hi,
I have made many similar designs in gold with diamonds along the rails on each side.
But once again you have taught me something.
In the future I will incorporate that fretwork at the back, very nice.
