Romans BC6T Freed From The Law of Sin And of Death 4

Why is it that although we have been baptized into Christ, forgiven of all our past sins, that we still struggle with sin? In Romans 7:1-8:18, Paul addresses this question and also reveals how we can overcome it. The lifelong habits of sinful thinking and action cannot be instantly changed although our relationship with God has changed. Now, with the help of God by His grace, we can fight against sin, putting off the old self and putting on the new self, day by day, becoming more like Jesus to the glory of God. We must continue to led by the Spirit through the gospel so that we may one day have eternal life. Let us study to see the nature of our conflict with sin and How with God’s help, we might overcome it.
