- Most discussion on caste in urban areas revolve around reservation, while movies like Aarakshan have raised that issue nicely, but Caste discrimination was an issue often ignored by mainstream Bollywood. Article 15 is a unique film which brings this issue to light. I analyse some specific shocking scenes from the movie and compare them to reality. This video does NOT contain any spoilers for the movie, only few instances are talked about and the storyline is not disclosed. I discuss Manual Scavenging and SC ST

Caste system will end when people of category who have done good for themselves forfeit their reservation and people of upper caste have no problem in accepting people of lower caste in their family(intercaste marriage). It will take some centuries more. Bhot gareeb aur anpad log hai desh me.

Jaatiwad band Karo pehele fir reservation system bnd aapne aap hoga. Reservation kyu aaya vo bhi sbko pta h. Jaatiwad ke karan reservation aaya aur jaatiwad lane vale so called brahmins thai.
*My mother practiced untouchability. When I came to know this, I scolded her hard. Made her understand that this is wrong and every Human being is equal. She understood and never practiced it again! I think our young generation is the only one who can bring changes in this statue quo by making people aware and explaining that this is wrong!*

My dad is a headmaster at a government school in Bihar, a lower cast cook was appointed and every teacher and student as well opposed it and refused to eat mid day meal. Next day in the morning assembly he asked that very staff to bring a glass of water and he took that water in the assembly , at that point he gave a message to students and that culture was thrown away from that village . Proud of my Dad ❤️

Then again in another day he said "Kalyan Chatterjee is a brahmin ". I asked him who told you that? My student said it's Kalyan himself. So you can understand when a little boy of class 1 is taught that he is a brahmin , then only he can be saying everytime, his creed along with his name.

I watched this movie a few days back n my mother n I were literally crying during the scene where a song in the local language is played depicting the plight of the parents whose daughter has died

I am a Dalit and I feel low caste people have to stand themselves if something wrong happens with them. You have to be mature, educated ( almost everything is free for us). You can't change others mentality, just change yourself, raise your standards.

One of the MOST UNDERRATED Movie in the Indian cinema. I felt this movie should have been nominated for Oscars because of the original script, story telling, cinematography, and acting. My heart pained when this movie did not receive the attention it deserved and instead Gully Boy was nominated. I felt it was more deserving than Gully Boy. Unfortunately, there is a lot of politics and sentiments involved.
A simple solution to all, always follow the Geolden Rule- treat others the way you want to be treated yourself

may I share my experience(from my grandfather, my father and myself) as SC even though I always took admission through OPEN cutoff(still there is hypocrisy that 'SC ka hoke ab OPEN ki seat lega'), people always talk about remove reservations, not about remove castism.

@@noopurthakkar4660 most upper caste have more aryan genes and even lower caste have some little aryan genes in them. Watch the lallantop's videos on Gene's they have explained it well. And I think valmiki ji's ramayan is well edited and brahminized by ancient brahmins to make them look less savage. I think they have completely changed the real ramayan. You should also read Jotiba Fule's book 'Gulamgiri'. 🙏

निश्चित रूप से मानव द्वारा नाला गटर सीवर आदि की सफाई करवाना पूर्णतः बुरा व घृणित कार्य है। शर्म आनी चाहिए उन सभी लोगों व इस देश की व्यवस्था को जो इस स्थिति के लिए जिम्मेवार हैं कि मशीनों के इस आधुनिक युग में आजतक भी नाला गटर सीवर सफाई में मशीनों का प्रयोग शुरु नहीं हुआ है बल्कि इंसानों को ये काम करना पड़ रहा है।
