Love the honesty, Craig! He is a generational talent if you consider that at 18, he was a provisional member of the France Euro squad. His 1st season in the league will be a massive learning curve for him but I fully expect him to be world class at the age of 21. The fact that LFC have missed out, shouldn't change that fact. Too many LFC fans are coming out with the "ah we weren't that interested" line now that the deal is done. Quansah seems like a talent also and yeah, his stats seem to be narrowly favourable compared to Yoro's but there's two things to consider which would have had a massive effect on that comparison.
a) Yoro is 18, 3 years younger than Quansah and b) Yoro was in that Lille squad, not exactly packed with the world class talent which would have pushed Yoro's development up a notch. Quansah had 33 appearances last season for your 1st team which would have impacted on his development.

However the moves Ratcliffe is making, the appointment of new CEO, DOF, technical director, head of recruitment, means we are selling players on, and are moving quickly for players we want and have a clear strategy in place. The 40m transfer fee had nothing to do with it but the wages Manchester United offering him. There was no way FSG would pay him more than Konate and 80% of tthe first team. He getting anywhere between 112k to 150k per week. Completely stupid to even match United offer yet alone go above it when we do have Quansh and Setf Berg

Theres plenty of good players that make sense and yes I wish we can act as big as we are but unfortunately we dont sign the top top talents and we get bargains to develop. I think this is just the way and there is something special about being the underdogs and not just spending loads and having to actually develop players
