This looks like the place to ask. The US stock market is at an all time high. Opinions about whether it will continue? Or as some people are predicting, burst its bubble under the new Trump regime? I realise it’s never an exact science or easy to predict. Just here to gauge some opinion. Thank you.
@@norbertotinho9377 very hard to say, it's certainly heated at the moment on the Trump optimism around deregulation, lower taxes, etc. A year ago it seemed valuations were getting hot, but this year the S&P500 is up 30% still! Would be interesting to hear others thoughts, I personally am still dollar cost averaging into broad indexes in US/NZ/AU as I'm investing for the long run.
The thing to be conscious of when investing from New Zealand is the FIF tax rules when investing more than NZ$50k abroad. Whether you receive NZ or overseas dividends, it is similarly taxed (unless it comes from a NZ-based PIE fund).
Helpful, thanks
Glad it was helpful!

I would love to see you do a personal portfolio reveal showing us what percentages of each stock and ETF you own. Thanks for your videos.
Living in Nz though is it worthwhile to invest in US dividend companies? What are the tax implications?
