It's so much easier if you go around the city along the west side of the map and attack at the gate south of the refugees. You will face much fewer units and only 1 onager and treb. This makes the whole scenario much easier
17:26 there is - you can chop through the forest (almost at the very top is the thinnest point of it), then destroy Compiegne's wall with one of your BBCs (not Lorraine sadly, no attack ground), then just walk in with joan and the vills :)
Actually, from where you punched through the wall, there's a small straight section of a 3 tile wall. You can punch through that and clear the 2-tree tree line using trebs. Slightly better rendezvous point. Essentially, approaching the actual reinforcements from a little south-ish than you did, doesn't aggro the longbow-men by the wall. Doing that, and Jean-De-Lorraine shit can be avoided as you face the Burgundians upfront than from flank as you did. I baited the lot using what remained of my Cav, but managed to flank out the Burgs by Joan and the vils, slightly more safely.
I'm trying this game right now and find it buggy, already sent Joan and 10 Vills to the spot, objectives got checked but still no Victory. Anyone has same problem ?
There are 3 additional refugees at the harbour at the south. Ornlu found them, that´s why he has 9. If you just have 6, losing one means you automatically lose. Theres nothing you can do.
I thought all missions of Joan of Arc would be easy since it has the symbol of "One Sword" not two or three :( I'm playing in Moderate and losing one of the refugee instant lose
Hahahah😂 Only watching this I found out that I completely cheated in this scenario. I went to the north western port, destroyed it and went in to the paris. Then after getting the final units I destroyed northern wall and some forest with my trebuschees and had a hugee army with me and with that I was able to crush the final opponent lol😂 I wondered how it was so easy mission lol
The only annoying one in your gameplay is yourself. The way you handled the bombard cannons was plain stupid. You could've easily saved some of your men, but it seems to me that you chose to play without any common sense at all.
And this scenario is why my Bombards are always set to no attack stance...

Most importantly you meet fewer longbowmen.
To make route easier You can chop trees and make holes in walls with trebuchets. Use Joan as scout and for luring enemies :)

I used to love longbows until I played this campaign.
It's never fun when you're on the receiving end
Just played it. After scenario 5, making 70+ paladins in scenario 6 and just running into the longbows felt very cathartic.
@@pavise6333 except for anal
Still probably the most historical depiction of Joan of Arc in a video game

13:36 imagine being one of those reinforcements xd
Had no idea burgundy was neutral! I still haven't got past the final battle, maybe I'll manage now 11

In these kinds of scenarios... Is there much difference between standard and hardest?
Not really, but sometimes hard doesn't give you a monk for example (but neither does standard in this scenario).
On standard, there is no tower guard but the army of enemy moves very fast.
The legendary French reinforcements!
I only found 6 villagers and losing one fails the mission. Why can't I get more?

please play Perfect Martyr as a Death Match scenario :)
I send the villagers without Joan and I got the victory while Joan was chilling xD

It's not refugee, it's re-fugee
Oh no
I hate this scenario !!
easiest mission ever
