❣Originally in the script, it is only the German accent with which Septime (Louis de Funès) should speak which should make people laugh, but, after the shooting of the scene, Louis de Funès wasn't satisfied. The next day, after a sleepless night, he finally had the idea that would change the scene dramatically. "That's it, I found it! Here it is: what if a shadow drew a mustache and Hitler's haircut while I revealed the recipe in German? " The gag was shot in a single take and could be made thanks to a set of mirrors. The scene thus has become one of the most striking in the film ❣ - ภาพยนตร์และแอนิเมชัน

As a german, I love Louis de Funes in general and this scene in particular. It's downright hilarious and I love how he delivers a side blow without actually being offensive. Kind of like John Cleese in this (in)famous 'Fawlty Towers' scene with the german tourists. It _is_ kind of mean, but never really hurtful.
And I despise the hypocrisy of those people who want to ban pretty much everything in the pretense of giving a crap about people's feelings, while being themselfes actually and usually extremely toxic - kind of harsh, yet indulgent humor like this would be the reason for a shitstorm of epic proportions nowadays, while the very same snowflakes have no scruples whatsoever to make the most mean, scathing and unsavory remarks and jokes about the people they deem guilty of wrongthink.
