The Shelby Cobra is a legendary sports car that was originally produced by Carroll Shelby in the 1960s. The car was created when Shelby combined the lightweight British AC Ace roadster with a powerful American V8 engine.
In 1961, Shelby approached AC Cars, a small British car manufacturer, with the idea of creating a high-performance sports car. AC agreed, and the first Cobra was introduced in 1962. The car was powered by a 260 cubic inch V8 engine that was capable of producing 260 horsepower.
The Shelby Cobra was a true sports car icon of the 1960s, known for its power, speed, and handling. The car was produced until 1967, and today it is a highly sought-after collectible among automotive enthusiasts.
The original Cobra may be out of reach for most, but that shouldn’t stop you from experiencing the thrill of driving these legendary machines.
