Garbage Trucks Part III

- The first truck, a Heil DuraPack Python on Autocar chassis was collecting garbage from small apartment buildings and duplexes along Sunshine Blvd in Golden Gate.
The second truck, Heil DuraPack 7000 was recorded on the other side of Golden Gate. I believe this is the last 7000 WM has locally, and is currently used as a spare.
The third truck, an older EZ-Pack Hercules FL was collecting mixed paper and cardboard for Sunshine Recycling, in a back alley near downtown. The driver was very fast, and I lost him after the one stop you see here.
The last truck, the G&H Split RL was recorded in Lake Park, recyclables were sorted into seperate fiber and commingled containers streams. The recyclables are dumped into roll off containers, and hauled away by Sunshine Recycling to be processed at their MRF.
Every one of these drivers was very friendly, many thanks for letting me film them at work.

I have to say, my 2yr old loves your videos on garbage trucks. No distracting talking, music, shaky/bad video, etc. Just trucks he can watch and "admire" til our own pickup day every week! Thanks for doing this....

wow!!!! i just love watching videos of garbage trucks!!!! its so exciting!!!!! I wish i was a garbage truck! i could just drive around all day picking up dumpsters and trash cans and stuff. so cool!
My 2 year old is crazy about any type of truck he watches these videos all day and when we go out he points out every truck on the road.... it's to cute

when i was 3 i was fascinated by tractors and those big harvesters. but as a farm kid we went to the city and when a saw garbage truck i told my ma i like to have one... i was like oohhh mechanical arms is way cooler than harvesters.. now im 20 i didnt end up driving any of this but im still watching this now right..
MAN! That autocar combo with the python is awesome! Sure is violent! Please get more vids of the 7000! that FL is also very nice! But that split RL is the best! Lovin your vids man! Can't wait for part 4!

The WX Python sounds and looks great! Always liked that combo, but this particular one looks really great since it's so clean haha and of course, the 7000 is great :) Awesome work!

Well what can I say George... top work like usual mate!!! Nice to see some more footage of the Golden Gate ASLs, shame to hear that 7000 is the last in the area... becoming pretty rare I believe. That E-Z was one rough truck, really gave that container a nice SLAM! =] That G&H rear loader is quite interesting too, don't see too many split RLs so awesome to see this one on video, and what a speedy sweep/pack stage for both compartments!!!
My friend's kid loves garbage trucks, Watching this I can kinda see why - they seem a bit like a robot with the bin tipping arm on the side.

Woah that Autocar is crazy. Goes up fast shakes the shit out of the bins then comes back down and flips lids! Same with that old grandpa 7000! That thing grunts. That Fl is too good. And that RL is amazing because it was split. Who made that split Rl?

@MitchellM15 Glad you like it. The EZ-Pack driver likes to slam the bins, you should here the 10 yd. being banged. The odd thing is this driver is the only one I've met driving the Sunshine EZ-Packs, but he tells me he usually does roll off. The G&H reminded me of your videos of RLs collecting bottles, just a bit quieter. I hope to get more footage of the split RL, the two of them the city has will be replaced with a Curotto Can in September, sad really...

@georgewuzheer Should we be surprised that some cool trucks (the split RLs) are being replaced with the usual modern equipment? Always seems to be the case these days... :/ Hopefully you get down there again before they disappear, sort of becoming harder to get something interesting on video these days.

@3amrepmike3 The Python driver actually slows down a bit when I film him, he likes to set the bins down without them falling over when on camera.
