Finally someome has said it! Jackie Brown is so brilliant! Such a balanced, genius script. Goodness Jim if I ever make it across the pond we've got to hit the cinema mate. Excellent examination of a great film.
Proud to say "Jackie Brown" cemented itself as one of my favorite movies of all time as a young teenager when I first saw it, and it's stayed in my top 5 (and as my fav Tarantino movie) ever since.
Great movie indeed!! The end of the movie when Max takes a phone call as Jackie leaves him… even though she’s already out the door, Max’s bittersweet emotional state won’t allow him to continue the phone conversation with the client. Brilliant!
Fantastic film (I love the scene where deniros character is sitting in the chair while the lady is giving him a personal show while he sits there rocking, and Samuel x Jackson’s character calls and says “is she doing her supremes act” 😂
Being from a family and culture with a lot a different ethnicities and crime, jacky brown really reminds me of a few of those physically strong and street wise women that I know very well And Sam x Jackson’s character is very believable but is a very cold and dangerous MF And for people who say deniro can only play Italian mafia guys, he is fantastic in this film and like awakenings and raging bull and the deer hunter and more it shows his ability to play many different kinds of characters.
Soundtrack is perfect it emphasises the time and what was relevant at that time. Same with the kangol hats they are there because in black communities at the time everyone was wearing them.
For me I think the biggest problem with the film is the unrelatable soundtrack. The songs just seemed to take you out of the mood rather than put you in the mood. Tarantino's other films soundtracks were always eclectic but he missed the mark here IMO. I'd bet fresh screenings with 'better' music would blow away the original.

It took me a second viewing (and years of life, really) to truly appreciate this one, but it's fantastic.

Tarantinos best film. I have no idea how many times I've watched it.

Haha yeah love that moment classic Tarantino 🤣🤣
A great movie. Seriously underrated.
Don't know if it is his best. Does it matter? It's just a great movie that's sadly underrated. But every good director has them.
Wonderfull analysis
Thanks buddy
This movie gets better with every rewatch
👍👍👍
Are you going to do a analysis videos on all of Tarantion's film like you did with Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction and now Jackie Brown
I certainly might over time, I love nearly all his films 🙂

It is up there with Reservoir Dogs & Pulp fiction, but I'd still rank those two films above it.

Pulp Fiction is not that great a movie!
"Everything about Jackie Brown is fantastic"
Yes, that is accurate.
