G'day my friend. My Bee numbers are down a little bit at my place. Be nice to have some hives closer by. Lots of love to you and the family. 😀

Oh I didn't think of hunting the trees in the Winter, it has been mild this year I'll bet a lot more are flying then some years.
Yes someone that agrees that honey bee use ventilation during the Winter at least here in the NW.
We are so went and humid, when I closed/sealed up my hives last year I had rivers running out of them.
This year I have tried to go to a simpler shelter from the worst elements concept.
Most of all I did was give them a roof to keep the rain off and a piece of plastic to block/break up the wind, a little extra insulation on top. I did had to give them food, but that was my fault not theirs. They got started late and missed our blackberries so they didn't get that big food infux.
I still believe in managing my bees but I think you are correct bees find locations that allow them to deal with nature, not stop it. I really enjoy seeing different perspectives and had been wondering how things were going. Thanks for sharing your time, Blessed Days...

@@18Bees Totally I think there might be 1 in the 10 acres behind my property, I'd love a local feral honey bee tree. 😁Feral honey bees make great genetics.👍

Good stuff. . I'd love to find some around my Apiary. There are woods right behind the property where mine are located.

You must have a few wild honeybee nests in your neck of the woods. I’m sure there’s been many a swarm that buggered off into the woods. 😎

@@18Bees I'm sure are a few. I might have to go looking. It'd be cool to find some.
