    A video that I had been wanting to film for some time, here is my full network overview of Dublin Bus and their operations in the city. With travels all over the network, sampling every type of bus, we see what the company operate both in the central outer areas of Dublin.

    Enviro 400ERs are awesome.
    They come as Cities and MMCs, and the first examples of the Cities are those in Ireland and the first of the MMCs are in Brighton.
    They run on Electric by location sensing. So they can run as electric in Low Emission Zones, but on Diesel outside of it, therefore conserving the battery for longer. So for example, the ones in Brighton run on Diesel until the Hove ULEZ, then run on electric.
    When they're on Diesel, I believe they function like a hybrid tho, so always do electric until 5mph, but cant be 100% on that part.
    But yeah, thats an ER

      In the 21 years that I’ve been coming home to Ireland from Manchester via Holyhead into North Wall on my way home to family in Dunshaughlin, Co Meath, I’ve noticed that the traffic in Dublin City Centre is getting heavier all the time, especially when the first early morning Bus Éireann coaches leave Dublin Busaras and this is partly because of the new motorways - people seem very reluctant to pay the tolls, such as on the M3 to Navan and it’s clogging up the smaller roads, making it more difficult for Dublin Bus services to operate efficiently - anywhere within 50 miles of Dublin needs to become a car-free zone, in which the use of private cars are totally banned, including electric cars - I’d grown up in Dunshaughlin, had worked in Blanch and had lived in Stoneybatter when I’d lived in Ireland, but the traffic problems have gotten much worse since I left Ireland and moved to Manchester and I see it all the time when I come home on visits, so it means that I have to factor in Dublin’s rush hour traffic when planning train times from Manchester and sailings from Holyhead when coming home, as I don’t hang around Dublin longer than I have to

    I'm so upset,, Dublin apparently doesn't care if tourist are robbed.... We were on bus SG 595 Aug. 6th, at 2:30-2:38 pm my daughter had her phone stolen out of her side pocket up her backpack, she put it there for only a short time.. the bus camera was right on her,, we talked about the camera being on her... We said smile for the camera. No one so far after 12 days has checked into the footage off the security cameras, we contacted the police (garda) lost and found in dublin bus, now we have finally contacted another dept that handles video.. We were told ONLY garda could look and monitor the video,, but also told by many Garda doesn't care, and unless someone was killed etc. they will never check into it,, so tourist continue to get robbed... I'm so mad, it's the most expensive thing the poor kid owns.. it was a birthday/christmas present,, 900.00 phone iphone 14 with a green case, she had money in the case, and her school id..

    When I went to Dublin to see my cousins last October I can say the transport network is very good but some services should be more frequent

    • @TFI33LD
      @TFI33LD ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, Busconnects is trying to fix that. Although it does mean that some good city direct routes like the 33 route will be replaced by, Renumbered, or Rerouted as the new routes

      @TFI Enthusiast 33 is getting scrapped/withdrawn and so is 33E 33X/33A will remain but renumbered and maybe re routed? same for 33D/33B

    I hardly ever use Dublin Bus when I come home to Ireland on the SailRail from Manchester via Chester & Holyhead, as my family live in Dunshaughlin, Co Meath - I sometimes use the 53 route to get to Connolly/Busaras (Irish Rail/Bus Éireann) as I mainly use DART & LUAS around Dublin, Sandymount DART to visit the Poor Clares Convent (St Damien’s) on Simmonscourt Rd behind the RDS - Transport links to/from the Irish Ferries/Stena Terminals at North Wall are a real headache, as are to/from Dublin Docklands Station for the M3 Parkway Trains - going though Stoneybatter and Blanchardstown Village/Clonsilla on the 39 and the 38 to Corduff/Ladyswell/Mulhuddart is quite the experience to/from the Blanchardstown Centre

    The nicest Dublin Bus routes with lovely scenery are the 56, 84, 84X, 44, 44B, 42, 33, 6, C1-6, L58-59, 52and the 70. The number 53 is an interesting route that covers Dublin Port if you want to see some Industrial action!

      Aye the 6 was an amazing route that I sampled on the visit, a future video is on its way from that one! I will sample the 53 on a future visit however covered that route in my England to Dublin video with the Ferry shuttle

    • @michaeljohndennis2231
      @michaeljohndennis2231 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AndMoreCentralthat Ferry Shuttle bus is a nightmare with a heavy suitcase coming from Holyhead via Irish Ferries when trying to get to Busaras for the services to Dunshaughlin Navan & Kells (109) - they need the DART Underground or the LUAS up there or allow the ferries to sail further upstream to Tara St/Custom House or even a barge to sail up the Liffey at high tide
