This place has a unique beauty some people cannot see or appreciate. I am over seventy, it takes me back to my childhood. Wow.

So man cars parked everywhere, just sitting there taking up space and going nowhere. I've never been to the USA, but looks like no off street parking or usable public transport. Hardly any people walking along the paths etc.. what a sad sorry looking place. Luv your vids bro, seriously great work!!

Thank you for describing some of your experiences growing up in this area. You have a wisdom most can’t even begin to comprehend, a valuable wisdom that came at a high price. For many growing up crime in various forms is a rite of passage, it’s all some know, this is the life around them and they just have to live with it. It’s difficult, seemingly impossible to consider living elsewhere or living a crime-free life. I think it’s one of the most difficult environments to live in. So much pain and to survive you become inured to the suffering. As you also mentioned, becoming desensitized with the inordinate number of deaths amongst friends and family. People have to cope. ❤

That sky is breathtaking. Thank you Toon and in your last vid you said something about Parking Wars. I love that tv show, wish they would bring it back. Take care.

Yeah they stopped that because it was showing people how to deal with that bullshit! Plus if you don't get your car back within a week then they will sell your car and it's usually a employee of the PPA that is involved. Really Really Crooked Operation!!! I voted for Judge Lynn Frazier, Joe Fraziers Daughter And She Heard My Case Where The Tow Truck Driver Employed By The PPA Dropped My Car And She Had The Nerve To Side With The City And Took My Car After I Was In The Hospital Fighting Prostate Cancer And I Came Before Her With My Witness That The Car Was In Excellent Condition Except The Car Needed A Inspection Sticker. This "Judge," Found For The City Because She Was Clearly A Biased Judge. I Will Personally Make A Concerted Effort To Get That Thing Off Of The Bench Come The Expiration Of It's Term! I MEAN THAT SHIT!!!

Fairhill is very close to Kensington. Heck, it's almost as bad. It gets really scary in Fairhill at night. One thing that I have noticed is that over the years is that many bars have closed in that area. I saw at least one in this video. It might be ok to grab a drink during the day. Can you imagine hanging out there at night?

Yeah, it's sad how far down these neighborhoods have gone...I was born in North Philly, in 1960 Germantown...We've really gone down hill in many parts...But; Some areas have really rebounded ( Society hill, NoLiberty, Fishtown, University City, Penns landing, Washington Ave Above 11th street...Etc. ) It's the ebb and flow of big cities...
