I read, or saw, a video somewhere, while researching either the GP50, or GP60 locomotives, that Santa Fe engineers found the wide cab engines to be rough riding. I think they were referencing the GP50s. Don't think they built any GP50 wide cabs? I'll see if I can find it. Source might have been Wikipedia. Great clip here. Classic Santa Fe scenes.
