I felt this theme fit reboot Vergil than DMC5 Vergil. DMC5 Vergil got from DMC3 incident(including the DMC1 Mundus thing) by eating the stupid fruit and shit after taking his son's arm all for power to surpass his father and beat the shit out of his brother(which turns out to become a friendly rivalry). Reboot Vergil got back to the fused world because all the people he knew forsaken him and risen as someone else who is strong and is out to reclaim his name and possibly free his father to rule the world.....a true storm that is approaching in DmC reboot sequel(if it ever happens).
I feel like DmC is it's own parallel from the DMC story and would lowkey love to see both interact and see what happened after the original events of DmC. This is awesome btw
@@strangepro4 I think I heard somewhere that was originally the plan for DmC. It was supposed to be DMC 5 and serve as a prequel showing the origins of Dante's and Vergil's rivalry. Eventually, they decided to just make it a wholesale reboot to try and attract new fans to the franchise.

They defeat him with the help of a human but Vergil, after learning what exactly Mundus is and that he was pretty much responsible for what happened to their mom, decides to gain power by any means necessary. This leads to him and Dante separating after a fight of whether or not to use the same sacrificial magic the demon was using to power themselves up and take their vengeance on Mundus which Vergil did before asking Dante, sacrificing the human that helped them to gain more power. This then leads to the Virgil DLC where he then gains his Devil trigger mode after being put in tortuous trance by Arkham then goes to Fortuna where he tries to find their archives on Sparda only to be attacked by the local demons and the Fortuna guards because they're still in the early stages of their savior plot only to be sheltered by Neros mom where they then fall in love and conceive Nero. Now ever more determined to gain power to avenge his mother and protect his family ends up leaving them behind and heads for the archives and meets up with Arkham where the scene from Virgils playthrough in the DMC3 special edition plays out and the rest is history.
Man this GMV just reminded me that this Vergil was out for blood of Dante. Our Vergil had chances of sparing if he got the upper hand. But you bet your ass this Vergil was going to literally kill Dante.

Funny, but Bury the Light looks and sounds better for fights here, than in DMC 5. Vergil's gameplay in DMC 5 doesn't fit to this track, unlike reboot where Vergil is not a super fast gameplay character. I'll be waiting for a mod for reboot, that added this music for fights
If only there's tutorials of how to do that. I tried to mod DMC Reboot. The only curious thing that i mod is the stages (Life is Strange's stages SWAP mod). They are not perfect, but at least is worth to try. For example: i SWAP the Donte VS Virgin's stage fight with the Hollow Virgin's stage fight. It has the clouds and rains, but the floor and stuff are invisible. But looks cool a fight with that black rain

This game had potential for something like a "parallel universe"……just because the overwhelming hate it had, if this game was released after DM5 and without Ninja Theory talking trash with the original series, this would have had good reception from the fans. For example with the up coming mobile game, a spin off and it has great expectations from the fanbase

The writing for the characters was honestly bad but overall the game looked and played very well with the action heavy and honestly super fun as well. The level designs and boss battles as well were cool as well. I would recommend people to give it a try for some good action
I’m glad DmC is slowly being accepted as its own thing. It’a still loathed, but as a fan of both DmC and DMC I can say a lot of the hatred has subsided.
DmC honestly had some really cool ideas. Limbo is still the coolest location in the DMC franchise imo. If it had another name or the characters had different names, then I think the game would've been much better recieved.

What did that do? Hopefully after seeing videos like this, Ninja Theory will be motivated to give the DmC series another shot, and hopefully the original DMC crew from Japan will collaborate

DmC: Devil May Cry may be a complete mess when it comes to its story, its writing, logic, character designs*, characterization, bland enemy designs, confused marketing, themes, tone, music, subtly..... where was I going with this? Oh right... The actual gameplay and combat was hella smooth and satisfying. *(except for Vergil, his design is perfect in the base game)
I have a headcanon sequel to this where Vergil only got more corrupted after absorbing Hollow Vergil. And DMC5 is pretty much a sequel to DmC. Now that demons are visible and now roaming around the city. The government locked down that part of the city while Dante cleans it up because he's partially responsible. Also with the demons having control of the media. Dante has become public enemy number one where the people are blaming him for everything that has happened.

I actually enjoyed DmC Devil May Cry. Dante's design was forgiven. I could not say the same for Vergil's. That was still the one thing I could never look past. But this video, combined with Bury the Light, admittedly it puts a smile on my face.

Honestly, one of the biggest missed opportunities in DmC was the chance to give Vergil an all new, unique looking Devil Trigger. It's my understanding that in the reboot, Dante was meant to be closer to his demon half whilst Vergil would be closer to his angel half. I may be wrong, I just heard that somewhere so take that statement with a grain of salt. But if that were true, wouldn't it be so much cooler if Vergil got an "Angel Trigger" so to speak? A form where he largely appears angelic, yet there is something dark or ominous about this form hinting at his demonic half, kinda like Lucia's DT in DMC2. I think that would be so much cooler than him just popping out a doppelganger, but that's just me
Yes, I also thought there was no Angel Trigger in DmC. It would be cool if at least Vergil had it instead of Devil Trigger. Although, it seems to me, if there was an angel form in which there is something sinister, it would have turned out to be the ugliness that Nero has in DMC5 😂
@@Ubeba Personally I like Nero's DT. It's leagues below Dante and Vergil's SDT easily, but at the same time it's better than Trish just getting a yellow aura. Though Nero's DT is carried almost entirely by those claw wings. But back on topic, I think that was DmC's biggest letdown, making our typically demonic characters part angel and doing absolutely nothing with it. Even the "Angel mode" weapons and attacks Dante and Vergil can use are just that, weapons and attacks. If we ever get a sequel to the reboot, I hope they do more with the potential badassery of a hero and villain that are angel-demon hybrids

I dont play much dmc games but i dont think id mind if they either remake this game to be better or continue this universe of dmc into its own thing

I don't care what people say , this game have the best Vergil gameplay and story
The violent hatred of DmC was born not by the game's content, but by the Dev's pedantry and childishness.
DmC didnt deserve the hate, Ninja Theory doesnt deserve forgiveness - not because they made a subpar video game, but because when people called their ideas stupid they turned to insults instead of explanations.

At that point he got rid the hollow version of his closed ones and including of himself by representing his sins:

Honestly, one of the biggest missed opportunities in DmC was the chance to give Vergil an all new, unique looking Devil Trigger. It's my understanding that in the reboot, Dante was meant to be closer to his demon half whilst Vergil would be closer to his angel half. I may be wrong, I just heard that somewhere so take that statement with a grain of salt. But if that were true, wouldn't it be so much cooler if Vergil got an "Angel Trigger" so to speak? A form where he largely appears angelic, yet there is something dark or ominous about this form hinting at his demonic half, kinda like Lucia's DT in DMC2. I think that would be so much cooler than him just popping out a doppelganger, but that's just me
Yes, I also thought there was no Angel Trigger in DmC. It would be cool if at least Vergil had it instead of Devil Trigger. Although, it seems to me, if there was an angel form in which there is something sinister, it would have turned out to be the ugliness that Nero has in DMC5 😂
@@Ubeba Personally I like Nero's DT. It's leagues below Dante and Vergil's SDT easily, but at the same time it's better than Trish just getting a yellow aura. Though Nero's DT is carried almost entirely by those claw wings. But back on topic, I think that was DmC's biggest letdown, making our typically demonic characters part angel and doing absolutely nothing with it. Even the "Angel mode" weapons and attacks Dante and Vergil can use are just that, weapons and attacks. If we ever get a sequel to the reboot, I hope they do more with the potential badassery of a hero and villain that are angel-demon hybrids
