It’s sad and disturbing. ‘You bet I Stare’ had meaning to me and my girlfriend, I listened to it when I had a crush on her and would play it when we hanged out. I just hope it wasn’t about any of his younger victims as that would bring a whole different meaning. I hope the victims are okay.

I think it's the listener's decision on whether or not they want to listen to his music. . some can separate the art from the artist. For me, it's too dang close to home; but, I respect your decision-- as long as you are actively speaking about the injustice done towards these girls + not giving him any money directly. (Listen to his music on platforms where others have uploaded his content).

Hi Elena; like all accusations outside an American court of law, we can't 100% prove that these accusations are real. But, based on the research I did, I think it's highly unlikely that they're false. My one fault in making this video is that I didn't explain that they haven't been proven- this is my opinion based on the research I did. And yes, members of Summer Salt have also been accused of sexual abuse. These allegations come up all the time against underground artists, literally mac demarco, yellow days, king krule, etc. How do we know if any of these are true?
Good point. What struck me about Bane's World's case is the multitude of accusations that have come up over the years .. the ones around 2018 were glossed over but girls were complaining then... (yes the peak was this summer) but it's not like girls are just hopping on a trend. I did a deep dive and found some screenshots, but obviously these would have to be investigated in a court of law. I'm believing the victims because it seems ridiculous for so many girls to be reiterating the same stories over such a long period of time. In other cases I've looked at, it seems there could be deception on the "victims" part. Idk-- in Shane's case, based on what I saw, the proof is in the pudding.
However, I really think these cases would need to be investigated by experts and taken to court. By law he's innocent till proven guilty, but based on my research I believe him to be guilty. I would look into it yourself and make your own conclusions.
@@texvirgo9847 The thing is, I couldnt find any actual screenshots that proved anything, like with most accusations, theres screenshots of messages or pictures of the accuser and the person, but I havent found any for banes world. I guess I just am not sure because like this happens alot with udnergroundish artists, but they usually have alot of evidence, but I just havent seen much for banes world

Unfortunately, I don't know. Shane is hiding from the accusations and continues to deny them.

New information has come out which proves that he is guilty. Honestly this is so disappointing, and also he’s taking legal action and he’s doing everything in his power to stop everyone who’s trying to call him out. Honestly he’s a sick person
oh shoot fr? was there real evidence? obviously not saying the allegations are fake but unfortunately it’s hard to take legal action solely based on allegations
@Brandon Esquivias okay I hear what your saying, but in the same vein, if he is guilty, wouldn't he still want the video taken down so the truth doesn't get out? I obviously don't know for sure what happened, only Shane and the accusers know, but I just feel like Shane is bad news after hearing what his ex band mates had to say... I can't tell you to not listen to him because that's your prerogative, but I think we should at least hear what the women accusing him have to say because it is really hard to come forward about SA. Even though the common excuse is "they're just chasing clout", that is so rare in comparison to real victims coming forward. Unfortunately false accusations tend to get a lot more press so it seems like it's a more common occurrence but it's just the availability heuristic at play.
One of the main selling points for me on Banes World was that freedom of creepiness. People nowadays act like they’re so much better than they really are and with Banes World, I always felt like he was constantly fleshing out his inner demons in his art. It’s a shame that this whole thing went so south

Hello! I think it’s unfair to tell someone that they’re responsible for someone else’s suicide because they revealed something about their life that was incriminating. I would be grieved if Shane did do something like that, but ultimately that’s his choice. I’m not responsible for anyone’s actions except my own. Have a good day/night! :)

I can't force you to care, but I think you should care. If you choose to not care and ignore the damage he's caused, you are not only supporting him, but validating his actions-- saying this type of behavior is excusable. You're basically saying, "Yeah, you raped someone, but you don't have to be held accountable for it because your art's good." Right, so if that statement applies to the rest of humanity, we end up with a society where there is no moral high ground; because, in my opinion, all of us have at one point done good for the world. Shane made good music, but he raped a bunch of girls; Martin Luther lead the church out of tyranny, but he was an anti-semite; Hitler was a good artist and cared for animals-- but he carried out a mass genocide. So, just because all these people did a "good thing" at one point in their life-- they're excused from all sin they've commited, no matter how great?? (I am following your argument). It doesn't make sense. As I said in the video, I believe in forgiveness and I believe that Jesus wipes away all sin if one chooses to embrace him as their savior; but, even then, we still must always hold people accountable. Forgiveness can erase resentment, hatred, etc, but it can't erase trauma, there will always be a scar. Wow, this is long, but I really want you to understand why I care! (And why I believe you should care).
