      I've all 4 sizes. Love them all, I mostly use the 16 . When there are more people, take more cook ware. My son and grandson has their own cook sets now with the firebox stoves. Hope my daughter will come to live here. Things are getting worse in Australia , want her here so I can look out for her too

    In the US we use inches and fluid ounces so I did the conversion for the 4 sizes of the Zebra Bush Pot/Loop Handle Billy Pot.
    16 Centimeter Pot = 6.2 inches height and width, holds 3 quarts/96 fluid ounces.
    14 Centimeter Pot = 5.5 inches height and width, holds 2 quarts/64 fluid ounces.
    12 Centimeter Pot = 4.7 inches height and width, holds 1 quarts/32 fluid ounces.
    10 Centimeter Pot = 3.9 inches height and width, holds 3/4 quarts/24 fluid ounces.

    Nice, these Billy Pots look to be of a higher quality than the Billy Pots available at Trangia. Would these Pots fit into Trangias? I have both the amazing Firebox and Tangia. I do find that, for safety reasons - especially around small children and dogs - the stability provided by an upright Billy Pot, when doing either dry or wet baking, is superior to a horizontal pot position with red hot coals teetering about. I know others may have different results but for our crew - haha - we need the upright, wide base. Thank you for your team which continues to provide excellent high quality products and your continued commitment into research and development.

    Hello, question for you. I can't tell from the video, but could the clips on the 10"/12" pots be removed and turned around (with the bend facing inward---it seems the clips are mirror images of one another) so that these smaller pots could lock down the pot cover similar to the bigger pots?

    • @fireboxstove
      @fireboxstove  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      They actually work that way now. At first our tool wouldn't bend close enough, but we fixed that now.

  • @dbcustomrc
    @dbcustomrc 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Just a thought: this may work for all the sizes, maybe not. design one clip that is specifically for locking the handle upright. Design a second clip that can also lock the handle but is shaped in such a way that it swings far enough out over the lid that it touches the lid and helps keep it in place. It may or may not stop something on the inside from pushing the lid off if its overturned, but for cooking needs and general storage it beats having nothing at all. If it works, Ill take one each of the folding fireboxes as royalty. ;) lol

    • @fireboxstove
      @fireboxstove  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not sure I understand, the current clips will both hold your lid in Place and lock the handle in its upright position. Maybe I'm not understanding you correctly. Cheers!

    • @dbcustomrc
      @dbcustomrc 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The smaller pots dont have the clips on the inside that hold the lids on. It has the single clip on the exterior of the handle that just holds it in the up position.
      What im suggesting is that instead of a single clip that just holds the handle up, Reshape a second clip that has a larger bend in it that when it snaps into pace it extends out over the lid so that the lid cant just fall off. It would require some creative experimentation but it might work.
      Its possible you would have to shape it in such a way that the handle can only swing down all the way in one direction. Whats your email? Ill sketch something up and send it to you.

    Hi, i thinking about getting the zebra pot for my solo stove titan which is 5.6"h and 5.1"w.. but not sure if the 14cm zebra would fit my titan stove inside because the solo stove brand has a 1.8L pot which is 6.1"h and 5.1"w pot for the titan..
    So, does anyone tried to fit titan stove in zebra pots and what size you went with (12,14 or 16)? Prefer to go with the smallest possible size..
    Thanks!

      You didn't buy it from me then! Other sellers have hijacked my listing and Amazon won't do anything about it. Please report the bad seller to amazon and give the seller a bad review rather than the product which only hurts me. These sellers are gaming the Amazon system. Ask amazon for a refund then buy them again from Firebox Stove and you'll get the product as described.

      @@fireboxstove Lol. I am in India and wish to order a billy pot along with a Ti 5" G2 Firebox in mear future. Hence seeking help here.
      If I can carry Firebox stoves, a trangia and a Coleman stove (in a Billy Pot), then I would essentially have 3 options for cooking my food on long bike rides. Have ordered cast iron cookware already, but it will house my 5" firebox and spices. Will have a really good, working cooking set up catering for various cooking needs.
      May be overthinking at this point. But i love to have additional options for resources on the go.

    Are these only available as an upgraded Item, or are they available as an add on to upgrade an existing pot?

    • @fireboxstove
      @fireboxstove  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The pots come quite a bit different from the factory so we end up doing a lot of adjusting and fitting of the pots to get the clips to work just right. The larger pots work okay as an add-on item, but the smaller pots don't work at all without adjustment.

    I was wondering, have the Zebra brand stainless steel resist rusting? I have bought "stainless steel" canteens, canteen cups, utensils, all made in china, and lo and behold, they rust! Yes, I am aware all SS will rust, if given enough decades, and caustic environments, but I'm talking rising during common usage, as if they were made of carbon steel!
    Maybe, they cut back on the Chromium content in China to save $ and increase their profits, IDK. I had enough of Chinese junk so I bought a GSI 1.75 qt. enamelware pot. I think the Zebra brand is made in Thailand, is their quality better than the Chinese junk? Best regards, MiF
