I remember telling you to make a video for the Wild One 2012 release. Thank you Matteo! Awesome video as always. Tamiya should pay you! You make people buy tamiya RCs after they watch your videos. You are the King! :)
Another 10/10 editing wow you are doing a great job I could watch these videos all day long Super choice in the music for tje majority of the videos Thanks
Holy crap Matteo! Another home run my friend. Your videos are second to nobody. Well done brother. Always excited to see your new works of art. Enjoyed every second. Tybo =]
You are the master of making and filming these re-releases, wonderful work as ever :-) I bet if Tamiya watched these they would be impressed . . . infact they should be paying you :-) Everytime I watch one of your re-releases I want to go out an buy one. Thanks for sharing and all you time put into the video.
Thanks for a very nice video, brings a tear to my eye. Remember stearing at this buggy in my local RC store back in -86,being only 13 years old. Had saved up for this car for half a year but was still way off. My parents gave me The Boomerang for my birthday that year. Initially I was dissapointed, but I grew to love that buggy as well. I never got the Wild One, but I recently found out that it has been re-released!!! Just looking out the window to see if the postman has a big box for me ;-).
Matteo,I forgot about this one! I LOVED this when it came out. Best handling buggy on the Beach! I have GOT to try to get the rerelease somehow.... PERFECT music choice. Great 80's beat! RAD Dude!
Its all been said before in the comments but here it is again; Excellent video mate! My fav RC clip on youtube. I have watched this about ten times over during the last month & tonight after watching it i went on Amazon.com & purchased a Wild One re-release!!! Cant wait for it to turn up. Think i may just have to use this one instead of just having it as a shelf queen like my other vintage Tamiyas. ( Avante, Astute, Fox, Falcon, & now wild one! just need a Frog & Hornet to finish off! Thanks :)
Hello Matteo I have problems with the steering brackets of my wild One , I noticed that the longest bracket ( the 71,5 adjuster Rod) is very close to the hull (the distance is a few mm) and it is very easy to touch and distort it . Did not you have any problem? Nobody have the same problem with the W.O ???
I live in Nelson Bays New Zealand ...so there is beaches everywhere to run these on... I havent yet ran a buggy on the beach as i thought it may be bad but does the sand effect them in any way or get in everywhere in a bad way? ... if not, - i may just run it on the beach instead of the harder bumpier ground elsewhere. They certainly look alot of fun in the sand & one would assume less stress on buggy opposed to roots of trees & hard pack clay & long grass. ???
i have watched a most of your videos now and it has to be said i think they are the best on here. how do you film the chase scenes? you should do a video showing how you do it. anyway keep up the fantastic videos
Brilliant Video, again! I love it, also because of the '80 touch! To say, I went about 2 months ago to check this place and to get on this "little island" I had to walk through the river (which was freezing cold)...! German now: Ist das dort immer so, dass man den Fluss überqueren muss....? Beste Grüsse, Daniel
Cool film man , I love the Wild one and the FAV would have killed for one of these as a kid.Just a quick question how do you do the tracking shots and keep the camera steady?
this was my first R/C back in the day, kept chewing up the differential gears, to soft, got the nickname grinder from this car. bought it cause it looked cool but had to upgrade to an Ultima to be competetive, still loved it though.
Hi Matteo! Do you remember what battery you are using with your Wild One in this video? I've bought and built the re-release of the Wild One and I'm currently trying to tune the shocks so that they behave like in real life. I think that Tamiya put too stiff springs on the rear, and almost too soft in the front. I drive my Wild One without any oil in the front dampers (only a few drops for lubrication) and I've filled the rear shocks with Tamiya's standard yellow oil. My battery is 3,3A Nimh weighing 330g.
you movies always motivate me to do this!!! im only missing something to record, the object itself... but im planing to buy a gelände 1/10 defender D110 to start with
Your excellent videos keep coming out of the woodwork, Matteo! Just think ... if TH-cam had been around 30 years ago, you may have ended up with my 'vintage' collection! Ok, sorry to rub it in :P
Another awesome video . Very cool looking paint job you have too Had i waited .. I bought the Fav re-release plus a set of the almost useless and so called tamiya hop up oil dampers . goprohd2 ?
Wow dude, great video !!! How do you keep your running shots so stable ? I mean the ones where you're following alongside the buggy ? Very impressive :)
I just ordered a Wild One and a set of bearings from ebay, What steering servo did you put in yours? Would an S3003 work ok or something a bit stronger? I was curious about the filming method as well. Are you using a GoPro?
Sehr gut wie immer! Der 80er-Jahre-Soundtrack zum 80er-Jahre-Auto passt auch sehr gut!
Falling in love with all these vintage Tamiya buggies! These movies are just amazing, thanks for making them.

Hey Matteo, I saw your Landcruiser with chains and snowplow. Did you fabricate the plow yourself or was it a kit? Keep up the good work. Grts, Sven.
Sven Peeters The snow plow is from RC4WD: store.rc4wd.com/RC4WD-Blade-Snow-Plow_p_3308.html
Thanks Matteo

Thank you!
awesome video !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fantastico! I live in Lugano ... then get there quickly ... with my RC Vintage :-)
Yes, I had the same problem. I've adjusted a bit of caster on the steering to have the rod end more in the plastic adjuster.
ciao Matteo parli anche italiano giusto? Mi puoi spiegare per piacere come hai modificato questo problema ? grazie
Great video! I just got back from the beach with my re-release Wild One..my video will not have your production values! :) I need a cameraman!
awesome footage! can you tell me how do you film the footage with the camera moving with the vehicle?
Too 80´s! Cool man!
beautiful!!!
Nice video again! Want to buy one but still hesitating between a Tamiya CC01 or the Tamiya Wild One.
Both of them are great cars, Wild One is faster, but not made for trailing...
Nice... one of the best video !!! You should ask tamiya to buy the copy rights of you lo.
i have watched a most of your videos now and it has to be said i think they are the best on here. how do you film the chase scenes? you should do a video showing how you do it.
anyway keep up the fantastic videos
as always simply amazing!! Tamiya should employ you Matteo :-)
Oh yeah ... yet another great video from Matteomeier.
How about making an on-road video?
Thank you for the good words, nice to hear that!
Hi I know it's 25 years old but on my fast attacks i put softer springs and they work much better...easy for tamiya to do.
Cool film man , I love the Wild one and the FAV would have killed for one of these as a kid.Just a quick question how do you do the tracking shots and keep the camera steady?
Very nice video. I have a question, the fact that the engine is so exposed, isn't that a problem when driving on sand?
Looks like it has a lot of power for a silver can!
What battery?
this was my first R/C back in the day, kept chewing up the differential gears, to soft, got the nickname grinder from this car. bought it cause it looked cool but had to upgrade to an Ultima to be competetive, still loved it though.
+denmalski Yes, we love Tamiya, even if not everything is perfect! But they improved many things in the last time.
I had the hornet the pinion gear on the motor kept getting chewed up.
Very nice video! Soon I also take a Wild One ...
Can you tell me, where is the place where you shot this video? Thanks
Very Nice Video! :-) Thx!
Very nice. Again.
I used a 4000 Nimh battery also. My 2s lipos are too big for the Wild Ones battery tray.
Aha. Thank you.
Yes, I also noticed that Wild One doesn't hold the 2s Lipos.
do you know if there are any differences between this re-release and my original wild one?
you movies always motivate me to do this!!! im only missing something to record, the object itself... but im planing to buy a gelände 1/10 defender D110 to start with
Nice that I can motivate you! It's a good choice - Gelände Defender! An awesome rig. Looking forward to your upcoming videos!
Buon divertimento! Con questo motore funziona senza problemi!
That was a sweet video! Love all your videos. What are chasing it with?
Your excellent videos keep coming out of the woodwork, Matteo! Just think ... if TH-cam had been around 30 years ago, you may have ended up with my 'vintage' collection! Ok, sorry to rub it in :P
Just Me Thank you my friend! Yes, I'm agree with your words!
Another awesome video .
Very cool looking paint job you have too
Had i waited .. I bought the Fav re-release plus a set of the almost useless and so called tamiya hop up oil dampers .
goprohd2 ?
Thanks for the great video!
I have the original wild one, with some parts missing. Luckily theres ebay etc. Where Ican buy the missing parts
Thank you, nice to have a original one. Maybe after the re-release it's easier to find the parts.
Honestly this remake is better than the original parts
amazing
Wow dude, great video !!!
How do you keep your running shots so stable ? I mean the ones where you're following alongside the buggy ? Very impressive :)
Great footage! What frame rate was that shot at?
Thank you for the comment!
超カッコいいです!
Wo fährst du immer? Gibt bei uns nicht so viele locations.
Fantastic action there. Easily good enough to be a Tamiya promo. film.
Nice video! With wich camera did u filmed this?
I just ordered a Wild One and a set of bearings from ebay, What steering servo did you put in yours? Would an S3003 work ok or something a bit stronger?
I was curious about the filming method as well. Are you using a GoPro?
For this kind of RC, a S3003 its enough. Yes, I use a GoPro, mounted on a stick, hold it down an run beside the car.
widermal äs geils video, cooli gägend für so ufnahme :-)
Sounds cool ...
