Angel, the stunning leucistic Red-tailed Hawk is back for the 2025 nesting season! Last year, Angel and her mate, Tom, did not have eggs, but this year, we are hopeful that she will lay eggs and raise a new generation of hawks.
Angel’s rare leucistic plumage makes her one of the most unique Red-tailed Hawks ever observed. She has defied the odds, thriving in the wild despite her bright white feathers, which make her stand out more than typical hawks.

As Ann P noted recently Angel & Tom pay a twice daily visit(morn. & Even.) to the nest--something i'we watched also. They bring twigs, limbs and Pine needle Boughs. This was also J & S's routine @ BBL--morning and even nest visits --resulting in 3 eggs a few days ago. They stayed longer than Tom & Angel, but perhaps this pair also will extend their visits into practice "laying" and then a clutch of 2 eggs for themselves and all who care about their health and welfare !
