Dear John and Jay, thank you so much for your work and knowledge. The book Of God and Pelicans changed my life and I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. Greetings from the Czech Republic, Central Europe
I really appreciate getting to hear Dr. Cobb's thoughts, especially on the afterlife, and process theology. I recently realized that the point of view that I have had is Process Theology, without having heard of process theology. It was a chaplain who lead me to look at Process Theology and thinkers like Paul Tillerson and John Cobb. My mother started out very traditional, and after looking at history, and the bible, she gradually came to the conclusion that God was more a principle and a force that nudges and pushes guides everything onto the straight and narrow path towards life truth mercy and freedom. Generally there is nothing evil or deceptive in God, and that there were revisions and tweaking that took place by the Church and that there were really two different lines of thought in the bible. She thought of Jesus (probably a different name) as a son of God, rather than as being God. She had never heard of Process Theology, but after 40 years of looking at the bible she gradually came to conclusions that resonate very closely with Process Theology. I suspect that she was right on target. Those views have shaped my views greatly. Getting to talk to a few people that had a background in Process Theology made it make a lot more sense in that context.
For me, the one 'thing' that makes the whole damn thing perfect is the fact that we can learn from our mistakes. And therefore, our ability to live "on earth as it is in heaven" becomes possible. I now think of Jesus as Head of the Great White Brotherhood, and Head of the Order of Melchizedek. He's very much alive and can appear anywhere and to anyone. He has the ability to move above the planes of time as one who has Ascended into God-likeness. As a full master and teacher, he doesn't work with any religion, only with individuals. Love you guys.
Proponents of process philosophy claims to expound metaphysics, but falsely bluffs, without any justification of an accident, responsible for creation. It is a Jewish conspiracy aimed at preaching atheism.
What a remarkable man. Thank you.
