Alex LG that’s such a hard one, because people can be treated cruelly. Interestingly, I just read a bible passage that addresses this very question: 1 Peter 2:17-25(and in the broader context 1 Peter 2:13-25). It seems God calls us to honor and submit ourselves not only to the righteous (the authorities of the time can be terrible), the good, and the gentle... but also to the unjust. It’s a hard thing and something I really need to work more on. I don’t respond well, in my heart (even if I can control the outward response) to unjust words or actions and really those are so much smaller than the injustices and cruelties others do and have faced.
