I think you mean the transaction SE16N and SE16H, right? SE16N: Newer version of the data browser (transaction SE16) SE16H: SE16N with optimizations for the HANA database With the transactions SE16N and SE16H you can display the table entries in the ALV Grid Control. Basically the SE16 is the Data Browser. The initial version/transaction which allows you to display table entries. The SE16N is the newer transaction with more functionalities compared to the SE16 transaction. And the SE16H is the transactions optimized for the HANA database. So the SE16H transaction is the transaction with the most functions. There you can use the database connections and outer join definitions. Thanks for this - the extended search and ‘Get field’ functions were new to me and I’ve used SE16H for years. I also liked how you explained the different types of join parameters. I think it would have been good if you showed the new ‘group’ checkbox as this is a powerful pivot table like feature. The ‘group’ field (not check) can also be used to input any SAP set (like GL account group or profit center group). Lastly, I’ve never seen the ‘sequence’ explained, so that would have been nice.
Thank you. I have created a video where I explain the "group" checkbox as well as the "sequence" checkbox. SE16H - Important features within Selection Criteria th-cam.com/video/JLU2mJdQeAo/w-d-xo.html
