Just heard this song on the radio a month ago. I have to agree with what the DJ said. "Good Lord, when was the last time you heard this song. We should play it more often."
Saw them in 1991 with Kiss and Winger in Concord, CA and was expecting greatness from Mark but on some songs he took it even higher than the album. Hairs were standing up on my arms, seriously. Witnessed greatness that day and still rocking them to this day.
kano R he had surgery on his vocal cords a couple years ago. All the 80s singers sound like a quarter of what they once did now. It’s sad but it’s life.
So incredible his range. The late 80's early 90' s were awesome. Saw him live brilliant. He is so handsome and such a loving soul. Still good last saw him in 2018 or 2019 Maryland was great. You can tell he is an endearing man. Perfect song for 2020 and 2021. Peace 🕊❤🌹💐
@@Mark-zz9rt I'm going to see him in October. Here in Lawton, Oklahoma. I can't wait. I grew up a Cowboy and always will be. But my sister turned me on to Rock N Roll in the 60's. Withe the Beatles, Dave Clark 5, Paul Revere and the Raiders, and Iron Butterfly. As well as may others.
Simply an incredible performance I love to watch musicians on stage when the fans sing their songs back to them they all look so incredibly moved. I think that's the most beautiful thing is watching them have their songs sing back to them.
Absolute killer!!! That voice!!! We need more Slaughter music in 2020. Saw them live in Sweden couple years ago at Sweden rock Festival... still rocks... 🤘
At a time of so many bands with amazing vocalists Mark stands apart. To this day I don't think there's many who can stand next to him as a frontman. Dude is just amazing.
I must have played that album 3,000 times when I was a teen. It was a fantastic album and I always wondered how that guy could sing like that...Stick it to Ya rocked!!!!!
One of the most under appreciated and under rated bands of all time. I knew the first time I heard them they were special. Sadly they came in just as hair metal was exiting stage left. Same thing happened to my band. Alternative crap from the NE killed the entire metal scene back then. The late 80's/early 90's were a golden age for this style of music, and I miss it dearly.
INCREDIBLE SONG, SUPER BEAUTIFUL SONG. ONE OF THE BEST ROCK VOCAL PERFORMANCES EVER. AND NOBODY LOOKED BETTER THAN THIS GUY. Matthias in West Hemet, SoCal
This is why Mark's voice is gone now. You can't sing this hard for so many years and have it when you get older. He was amazing and miss my hair band days.
Not sure i would agree joseph. Not that i have heard mark lately, but paul rogers of bad company, amazing soulful vocals and he just gets better with age listen to his live performance of ready for love and after lights which was orginally mott the hooples jam fucking amazing dude. I think it has to do with taking care of your body, resting when needed and no drugs. Drugs steal those gifts very quickly. Also good genes helps. The 80s was a decadant time sex drugs and rock... many vocalists didnt survive keeping their instruments in check. Its important to take care of yourself and enjoy it while you can. Ps i saw slaughter back in 06, small gig and he came right out into the audience and slapped people hands. Pretty amazing and i was one of the lucky ones😊
@@flynntaylor5459 check out some of Mark's latest on youtube. Not good. Can't remember if he had throat surgery or not, but he did get vocal therapy to at least get back to singing. As for Paul, he is still good, but he was never a "screamer" going to a high pitch falsetto. This range causes your throat to get raw and develop "calluses" in your throat. Just an age thing I guess.
This was back when concerts sponsored by radio stations were super exciting. I love this song. It is so ethereal. It has much emotional depth and soars literally (with Mark's voice) to the heavens! Love the way he engages with the audience and encourages them to sing along. Dare I say it - this guy is an Angel himself! His voice sounds alot like Robert Plant actually. Not many rock singers can sing in that way. Classic rock for sure! :)

Proof that the 80s rock bands are still, in these times, amazing . Though at 6:48, it was absolutely the best. That last part did sound like my cat when she was having a senior moment. (so sorry, I am 58 but act like a big kid still) This is called freaking gorgeous..... His voice, yeah, yup, M'kay 😊❤ I am a Canadian rocker and have a love for music. Big hair, cold beer, hot girls, reverse headstock guitars…I doesn’t get any better than that
..It's "alien" to those who didn't live through it.
These banda played live, composed their music without autotunes
It’s 2022, and I would still put this in the Top 100 best rock songs ever written.
His voice didn't last forever, but while it was there, it was absolutely amazing.
His range may not be what it once was, but that dude is still a great singer.
@@kwantoon he has completely lost his high range, there's nothing there past his normal talking voice range, he must be quite upset that it's gone.

Damn his voice sounds even better live back then.
till they hit about the 20th show on their tours then he went downhill fast.
He usually sings a half note above in concrrt

yeah and because of that he can't sing like that today at all lol
@TheMusicHeals.kjhjhhg He definitely left big shoes to fill though. I'm going to see him in Mt Pleasant, Michigan April 19th.
Mark Slaughter was quite gorgeous back then. 😍
Mark S. has one of the best vocals of the 1980s. He is timeless. Solid.
2024 still watch this one!
Just heard this song on the radio a month ago. I have to agree with what the DJ said. "Good Lord, when was the last time you heard this song. We should play it more often."
They stopped playing it because it was played to death back then. Kick Axe 'Never Let Go' is a better song...
This would be a massive hit if it was re-released today, this is why we miss the 80's early 90's

Jesus, I'm jealous, you got to live the best years of Rock N Roll!
Yeah, I'm with ya, the lyrical genius mixed with the hooks on this album had a uniqueness hard to come by in 89 🤘

Truly some still hung over till 92. But you're right 91 was the last great year
Yep and then came the “negative rock” or alternative rock of the 90s
Just before grunge took it all down😢

I can only say hell yes to this performance, it is off the fucking rails vocally, we need this in today's rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
