We only got 4 color ways of acrylic yarn and a cotton pouch with a set of all metal hooks, in the Pioneer Woman section. The red heart speckled is really really rough, it irritated my hands, but works up okay. I made a hat with it. Hopefully it softens with washing!

Your Walmart is SO GOOD on yarn compared to ours! Whenever ours gets in new yarn, they usually totally miss on the good colors and stock the cheesy shades harder to work with.
You have a pretty nice yarn area at your Walmart. The closes Walmart to me has downsized to about 1/3 of a row. They had nothing when I went last week. I am going to start driving further in this Texas heat to see if I can fine a Walmart that actually has a real yarn section. So sad, my Walmart use to have a whole row for yarn, but since the are redoing the store the entire place is a terrible mess. The move moved jewelry and women's clothes next to groceries. Now I have to walk to the other side of the store for shampoo. Not happening. I can buy my shampoo at Kroger.
I went by today and picked up some sale yarn. No cross stitch kits, no crochet tea towel kits, limited yarn in her brand. I bought 4 skeins of on sale Red heart for a project I am starting and that is it until I get some stuff done!

That's the best selection of yarn I've ever seen in a Walmart. Almost $15 dollars for a tea towel craft kit? If it was $7 I'd still think that's pretty pricey. The only celebrity yarn I've ever bought is Vanna's choice because it's a good yarn.

SuperSaver is hard-wearing sturdy. Does not pill or look shabby as quickly as yarns that cost slightly more and are softer. Bkanjets and items made of it do not have ti be pampered. Different colors and dye lots are softer.

I picked up the coral yarn and I like the colors but do not like the way the darker colors bleed into the pink or orange and make them appear dirty. I also am not paying those high prices just because her name is on it. $25 for 3 hooks. They have a kit that has 9 balls of string for $30+ in pretty colors but Hobby Lobby carries string under $3 in a variety of colors.
@@The1952trouble I buy my kitchen towels in bulk and use a cotton yarn to make the toppers. Even if I buy a more expensive towel, I would be able to make several for $15.
Not terribly impressed by Pioneer Woman yarns. I prefer the yarns that have always come from the traditional yarn makers. Like Lion, Caron ,ect. They really are experts and provide the best choices. I do miss the " bamboo " yarn by nicole . Not made anymore. It was so great for baby items. Fortunately i now have a Michael that just opened near me.
