I made it to England all by myself without any family here or friends. Man help me to go small island, and I pushed myself to go to the UK & go University & own property here. All by myself. I grew up in a garrison so I can definitely relate to what you’re saying about badmind. Someone even fixed their mouth to tell my mom that her 5 children wouldn’t amount to anything. But by the grace of God we are all successful professionals. Your dreams are valid and anyone can achieve whatever you desire. I did 11 years of schooling after high school and it was not easy but my life is blessed.

There is an old Jamaican saying , if you want good , you nose haffi run. When I saw your first built home it reminds me of my father building his first abode. Looks very similar to yours but instead of zinc, it was board. As the years went on he built another slightly better than the first , and further down an addition to the second as he expanded. We kept the first as a reminder where we were coming from . Its not where you start but its the effort you put in to improve your situation. Too many are in the mentality that its quick results but what many don't realise that many of the richest people in the world work on average 16 hrs per day.

So many of us came from humble beginnings some worst than others. I, myself, being from rural community I know what's it like to be born and raised in a one room board house. Looking back at that period of my life, I often say to myself: My God, I was very poor! Continue to fight the good fight. The journey is long with many bumpy roads ahead, but God see and knows the goals you are trying to attain in life. The worst part of your journey is going to be the human aspect of it all, those who want to see you go back to where you are coming from. Keep on keeping on! God is with you all the way. There is an old Jamaican saying , if you want good , you nose haffi run. When I saw your first built home it reminds me of my father building his first abode. Looks very similar to yours but instead of zinc, it was board. As the years went on he built another slightly better than the first , and further down an addition to the second as he expanded. We kept the first as a reminder where we were coming from . Its not where you start but its the effort you put in to improve your situation. Too many are in the mentality that its quick results but what many don't realise that many of the richest people in the world work on average 16 hrs per day.
