Back in the day when I use to paint the rims I used a grease to keep the paint off the tires but you have the skills to do that with out the paint off the tires
That super clean really seems to work well ! Great video thanks Henry
I had an older flipper show me that it is much faster and better to jack up the wheels and spray them while spinning the tire. He also sprayed the side walls . The tires looked amazing with the X2 black on them.
Hey...I'm on 37 and I pull the wheels off during the restyle/restoration process.
Too much trouble for me fellas, I’d leave them yellow if I really wanted to.
That cover is held on by 4 plastic tabs...make sure they are all there and not damaged. Can use a little heat to bend them back into shape. Does the steering have excessive play causing it get knocked off? Working on an LT1000 and I added another shim on the shaft to make it nice and tight.
PS...I can't believe I'm giving you advice on a tractor...so take it lightly LOL
Got me a new engagement cable coming and will be here tomorrow for my 2012 Cub Cadet... 35 bucks plus tax. Mine is just the opposite the cable goes under the belt. Anyways I guess I hooked it up wrong being in a hurry to get the deck back on. It ended up bending the big spring on the end of the cable and smoked the belt so need a new one of those too.
The LT2000 looks respectable now and good luck with the sale Henry.
Grate video to night
Nice project. 👏
I have never seen screws screwed into wheels, I use to do mods on Honda rear wheels with old bike tires, super mountain bike traction, people who bought them loved the mod.
Happens To The Best Of Us(LOL).😎😎😎
Man you got lucky. I ordered 4 aftermarket cables off Amazon. All 4 were short by like 1-2 inches. The Chinese use metric so that's why. I had to fab a bracket to go onto that bolt on the pulley and have the cable hook into the bracket to lengthen it. B4 I did that, the deck was hootin and holloring. Had to think outside the box.
Just noticed that hood would also work with the one piece lense and silver back plate a lot of the later LT1000's had.
@@MowersNBlowers Cool. The only reason I got it from Amazon, is it was next day. For fast turn around

The number was superceded but the listings usually show all the part numbers.
That's awesome Mark, WTG.
The washer is supposed to go under the spring on the deck, to prevent the spring, going down and hitting the pulley
No, the washer prevents the spring from coming off the stud as depicted on the craftsman parts diagram from AYP. I’ve had over 30 of these models and never once did I see the washer on the bottom.
Actually, there’s a washer below and above the spring

The steering wheel shaft cover keeps popping off, most likely, cause the steering shaft bushing is allowing to much back and forth motion causing it to pop off.
What kind of warranty do you give on the mowers you sale? Is it the tail light warranty, once you or the customer is gone , the warranty is gone
That’s what I do on the stuff I sale
Lol 😆
Nicely done!
Thanks bro, hope you’re subscribed
