I don't think the length of the video was too long for a precise tutorial. I appreciate all the tips!! I learn something new ever time I watch your videos😊😊😊😊❤❤❤
No such thing as one of your tutorials being too long, Lisa! You are such a wealth of wisdom! I'm having a professional headshot done next week, so this tutorial was perfectly timed for me!
Wow, Thank you for this Lisa. It is an interesting concept to turn your brush upside down when you do your eyeshadow crease. I'm going to try it! I think you are probably the first person that i've heard that.
What I would really like to see across all platforms where beauty is being talked about it’s not only the make up how good it looks when you first put it on but how good it lasts throughout the day. We all look wonderful when we first put on make up on it’s fresh it’s dewy . Our lips are glossy and plump. Well, as far as lipstick goes if you eat anything or drink anything within five minutes, most of the time that glossy lip is gone and the foundation fails and creases the blush disappears. This is where a good make up job excels. It’s where it’s not only looks good in the morning, but it still looks good in the afternoon and evening. Personally I prefer a long extensive tutorial over a short one
As a makeup newbie, I really appreciate this type of video. I learned quite a few things that I will try out starting tomorrow morning such as smudging the kohl liner out WITH the shadow, over lining lips TO the edge and not over and getting a wider line of the lip liner to have it wear more evenly, doing the light shadow into the sides of the nose and not waiting so long for skin care to fully absorb before starting makeup. Not to mention what eyeshadow brushes work best for each application. TY so much!! ❤
I appreciate the tip about using a fluffy brush with shimmer eye shadows. i don't like how much the flat brushes apply on my mature eyes. Love your tutorial, Lisa.
Stayed till the very end. Love it, I learned a lot even tho I am a professional makeup artist. Just have not touched makeup since my son … passed. And I am on a break from doing my radio and television show my makeup clients. Can barely leave the den and or my bedroom the two places I can be completely alone. A lot happens from the first minute you hear your child is gone forever and son’s and mom’s have an extra special bond like dad’s and their daughters. Now I am having such severe anxiety, massive anxiety, it’s horrible. I am not in my hometown… miss my family and friends from Montreal… Thank you Lisa you are amazing in every way!
@@joyfulmother7 Hi! Beautiful moniker… thank you so very much for your kind words. I really truly appreciated it. You are very kind joyful mom! I was a joyful mother of one beautiful son. It hurts so much it is like living in an nightmare. Enjoy your child or children, every minute! He was fun, funny, inspiring and everything that is pure and good. I miss him like crazy. I just got two very small urns today. I will put one in my bedroom a pearlized heart and a blue tiny vase veey pretty he loved the colour blue. Sorry for going on and on. Big hug to or for you!
God bless you as you walk through this journey. Keep in mind that your beautiful son isn’t gone forever as his spirit and soul lives on forever and you will see him again. I actually get encouragement from visits from butterflies from my brother, dragonflies from his wife which was my best friend, and their daughter, my niece through sunbeams and hummingbirds. Not like reincarnations but just little visits from heaven when I need them. Look for those little messages from your son as you hang on to everything precious about him. Big hug to you! 🥰
Thank you for showing how to put serum under the eyes, after foundation/before concealer, and in what condition your skin is in. My biggest battle is trying to brighten that area without emphasizing lines/texture. Also, I’ve had my eye on Inner Beauty for months now so I was so jazzed to see it today.
I absolutely love your teaching style! Thank you so much for this video. I just watches you video on the 6 BK Beauty brushes you’re using the most right now and it was fabulous!💖
You are so calming to listen to, and so informative! I think proper placement of product and amount of product used really changes as we age, so hearing your tips for where to apply and how much to apply is very helpful!!
Lisa I think this is my favorite video ever!! You took your time and explained the products and the application process!! Thank you for all that you do❤️
Thank u for so many helpful tips for the mature woman. I have the Nikki set (as well as many of your brushes and makeup) and I can’t wait to try these tips out. Thank you
I love these types of videos I always learn something new. I subscribed to your channel a few months ago after I saw you on Nikki’s channel and I’m so happy I found you!!
Thank you so much for such a comprehensive video! I didnt know you needed to apply mascara to wet primer! Im excited to try that and several orher tips out!
I love that you showed all the ways to use these brushes! I have the set but I did want another concealer brush as that brush works so great and I just ordered it! It’s so nice to see these tips because we forget some of them when in a hurry. I especially loved the tips on the eyes! I am now older but my eyes are what makes me look “put together” and these were some great tips so they aren’t over done. Longer than usual but great information and very worth the time! ❤
Loved this video thank you for sharing i will be picking up one of Nikki brushes along with my many bk beauty and angie brushes as soon as the budget allows!!! I already use many of these but some are new!!! Thanks Lisa!!!❤
LOL! This mature makeup lover will NEVER give up her shimmer/glitter eyeshadow. I have very, very hooded eyes and my hood itself is actually quite large and even puffy. (I have a lot of hood territory between my upper lashline and my eyebrows.) I nearly always wear some shade of 'glistening' bright shadow and/or eyeliner along the lashline to bring a bit of brightness to my eyes, and then I tightline to add darkness along the lashline without losing that light I brought to the lower part of my upper lid. I'll even add some of that glimmer to my lower lashline, usually in a soft brown shade that adds a subtle shadow along my mostly non-existent lower lashes since I can't wear mascara there. I often wish I could wear a wing, but my eye shape makes me incompatible with that gorgeous wing. I envy everyone who can pull off that wing!
Fantastic tutorial! Thank you for explaining it in a way people can understand and use. Most don’t want a full glam look. After watching Nikki’s video on natural makeup I purchased her BK BRUSH SET! I appreciate you using the same brushes and providing even more tips & uses.
I just watched Jemma aka Pampered Wolf raving about you and her being influienced to buy the Dior lash primer. I have watched you use it for years and I'm just going to go ahead and get it! I am so happy to see a 40 minute TH-cam cosmetic video!!! I so hope this is going to go back to these types of videos and Shorts be GONE for makeup!
I LOVE your makeup tutorials. You pack so much of your expert knowledge into each step. I also appreciate you demonstrating all of the brushes in the set. So many times I purchase a set of brushes and only use a few of them because I don’t fully understand what they can do. I did watch all the way to the end! I think my biggest takeaway was to keep more light on the eyes further out from the middle and maybe only color on the outer 1/3. I am a more mature woman and love all of the tips for older women. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. You are a great teacher.
I love your videos and I’ve watched you for years! ❤ Could you do a video on how to wash your makeup brushes to extend the life of them and when to throw them out and or when to know to discard makeup in general. Thank you!
Love when you do your make up tutorials! I use BB Face Base, am curious if you would use the new BB serum under or over the moisturizer? Thank you Lisa!
Very helpful, Lisa! It was good to see how you used the new BK-Nikki brushes. You gave some good tips for a natural look. Too often we tend to over apply our makeup so it was good to see how we can lighten the look and look natural, yet beautiful. You are so good with your explanations. Thank you.
I’m going to get the Alastin SPF. You’ve talked about it for a while now, and I’m convinced! I also use Soft Ocre or Painterly as a shadow primer. I started to do this a few years ago at your recommendation (plus, I love Mac products!). If I’m doing a warm look I use Soft Ocre, and Painterly for a cool look. Thanks for this tutorial!!
I love those 3 colors you used for the shadow! Are there individual colors from any brand that you would recommend to get those without getting an entire pallet? Thank you!
I loved this tutorial! I have to say, I just ordered the essentials face set and I am blown away by the quality and beauty of the brushes! It’s definitely taken my makeup up a notch! 💙 I hope to get the eye set next!
I'm still here! Loving the eye shadows; can you recommend a similar palette that's available now? I need the subtle shimmers more than the mattes. Thanks for the video Lisa!
Love this video. You're such a good teacher. Thank you Lisa! I'm old enough to be your mom but I learn so much from you. The blush is gorgeous. Your skin looks amazing💕😊
What a great tutorial! You look so fresh and pretty. I think sometimes we worry so much about beauty that we forget how appealing and youthful prettiness can be. Thank you for sharing so many tips and tricks and showing up some of the fun ways we can use these brushes. I’ve really enjoyed mine and I am learning so much about how to use them in new ways. Your final look is as open and kind as you are. Thank you for sharing
Thank you!! It was a great tutorial. I usually move forward when there is too much talk, but your talking was great and full of hints, tricks, hacks, and I believe I learned quite a bit. Discovered a couple or three new items...to try the liquid blush, use the lighter liner instead of black, the eyelash primer and try the mascara you showed us. Wonderful!! Thanks, Lisa:)
Thanks Lisa!, perfect and a lovely natural look!. Some fabulous tips!. I never like applying mascara as always get clumping, think I don’t brush through my lashes enough!. X❤
I'm so glad you tube seems to be trending back to old school makeup tutorials. Thank you for this
Me too! Everything in life usually swings far one way and then swings back the other in time. ❤
Agreed
Tutorials like this are my favorite! Love how you take the time to explain every detail. You are truly a blessing in this world. ❤️❤️
Oh, thank you so much! I'm grateful you are here with me. Have a lovely day, Terry 💖
So glad you are doing tutorials. Normal look not glam or over the top. Very helpful.
I don't think the length of the video was too long for a precise tutorial. I appreciate all the tips!! I learn something new ever time I watch your videos😊😊😊😊❤❤❤
This detailed type of tutorial helps me so much.
I’m loving these tutorials and just appreciate how you teach so clearly. Also how professional and still fun these are.
No such thing as one of your tutorials being too long, Lisa! You are such a wealth of wisdom! I'm having a professional headshot done next week, so this tutorial was perfectly timed for me!

Leia, you did a great job! It’s unbelievable how you made it look like a mask!!

Loved this longer form video. It was slower paced so we could take in all the valuable tips & tricks. Thanks Lisa 🥰🇦🇺
Girl the Alastin Hydratint went on so beautifully!!! I'm adding it to my shopping list for sure

You must be my twin, your eye shape description is exactly like mine. I will also use shimmer.
Oh, I so can relate!! I have LOTS of territory from the puffy brow bone to the eyebrow!!! 😅
always so soft and pretty, Lisa. so many great brushes to choose, so many wonderful tips.
Fantastic tutorial!
Thank you for explaining it in a way people can understand and use. Most don’t want a full glam look.
After watching Nikki’s video on natural makeup I purchased her BK BRUSH SET!
I appreciate you using the same brushes and providing even more tips & uses.
Thank you for the reminder about the brushes! I just ordered the N17 and N15 to add to the other BK Beauty brushes I already have.
