I just today programmed a furnace controller using PID!

If exponential term is there on numerator means how to solve

Sir, can I use this method of tuning for my boost converter topology for closed loop control

Can Kc be in imaginary if the product of numerators is exp(-4(jw))?

during the calculation we were trying to find Kc but why did we straight away got Kcu?

My omega turned out to be imaginary too since I got negative sign under root, how can I handle that?

But how come +4k got there in characteristic equation?

Why is Z-N taught any more? Z-N provides an awful response. Z-N only "works" with self regulating systems. This example does not take into account dead time. What if there are two complex poles and the system is an integrating one?
Where do the constants of the transfer function come from? If they are given then why not use pole placement or IMC where the gains can be chosen so there is no over shoot and the response is much faster.
Pole placement will work with just about anything.
There should have been a simulation showing the results.
This is a waste of student's time and money.

You lost me at 2:35 by not explaining the math.
