Awesome quality you put into that plate. We use Pem studs here in the states, make quick work of adding a threaded stud to a piece of material. They pressed into a hole and away you go 😉 I guess it’s a how much you use a piece of hardware in the grand scheme of things keep the vids coming ☺️😊

Cal, I find using a special stainless steel blade (and a drop of cutting oil) for my jigsaw works best when cutting aluminium. Great vid btw!

I have a solid stinger on mine, but still guy it to reduce the amount of flex in the upper sections in high winds

OK, this is it.. BUT Brian is making a custom version of this for discerning DXC customers :) But probably 3-months away.. This will work fine! www.barenco.co.uk/mast-support-hardware/pivot-tilt-over-supports/be211-double-socket-with-hinge-lock-over-extension-stop.html

@@DXCommanderHQ Many thanks! I misunderstood "Barenco" in the video for another word, hence my problem. I think I'll take your hint and see what Brian comes up with. -Tom W8DOL

Fun watching you create..do you sell the other plate (older version you had shown) separately? would suit a project I might do very well..DXs plate is way overkill...(and very $$) Thanks Cal

Erm, the only ground plates we sell are the DX Commander Kit plates..

Was using the cheap aloo-mi-num for the prototype worth the cost saving in this case?

@@DXCommanderHQ Great! You seemed rather disappointed in the video. I understand not wanting to spend money unnecessarily on a prototype.
