Congrats on placing 4th Cavs
Didn't one of those quads march Pioneer in 2014?
I love WGI! This is awesome.
thatguy245 Jesus what's so hard about correcting someone? Stephen this is DCI
Is it just me, or does the top bass player look like logic?
That boy Logic on B1 #RattPack
Lord Beerus his name is logan. Thats about all I know, he teaches the bass drums so I don't really talk to him.
Those bass runs though...!!!
Nice callback to the end of the 92 show at the very end. The last 2 years have definitely been good ones, and usually Cavies shows don't thrill me.
they mustve been totally clean to get Bronze in drums, good shit
SCV, BD, then Cavaliers. I believe the green machine should have taken second.
It don't get any Cleaner than THAT!
To bad Cleanliness don't count like it used to .....
I mean yeaaaa but dammit..... yeaaa ughh it's mainly what your playing and if the difficulty is through the roof and the body movements you do but I would not say cleanliness is gone because you see SCV wins percussion every year because their difficulty is through the roof and how smooth and shiny clean they are.
My percussion director is on Bass 2
6:49 Oh Sweet Christ
6:49 'Ooooh sweet gawd' ;))
Is the center tenor 12 years old
21, hes the longest marching quad player for cavaliers ever. He was the REALLY young looking guy in immortal (2014). Hes been center for 2 years.
i love u
AT 5:00 homeboy on the far left tenors looks 30.
thats Peter Launier, it was his age out this season. I believe this is due to the top down angle of the shot, as he does not look 30 in person. Also the haircut requirements for cavaliers are not flattering for those people who have widows peaks or are balding! haha
0:47 wut lol
Roman war drums. They play on massive concert bass drums in the back. Pretty awesome moment in content
Malburg36 I think it sucks that the bass line had to do this. The top 3 basses were not with the bottom 2 for like the first minute and a half and the last two minutes of the show. I don't know about them but I'd feel kinda ripped off if I didn't get to play 3.5 minutes of music or march with the rest of the drumline.
Oh my god dude. The splits.... the cleanliness....
What sticks are the quads using?
Drumline Enthusiast
Innovative Percussion TS-MM's Swizzles, FS-2M's, and I think, not entirely sure, FS-MM's. They use a lot of Mike McIntosh sticks, lol.
Those Diddles though
fighting temps
when 16 aint eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
3:42 the spock roll was CLEAN! stolen from bluecoats 2015
John Garrison Pretty sure people have been doing spock rolls on tenors at the end features for a while now lol
I know I never said bluecoats were the only ones to do that, I was just referencing that iconic moment
clearly none of them have watched the tape, john. I was there that night, remember his face during that moment. Gold.
How did this score so high?
Jeremy Weaver You have a good point. There is a pretty major tick every 4 or 5 bars this whole video, but I recently listened to prosperie's tape of this show, and he either didn't catch the ticks, or they weren't there (mostly) on the field. It really could be one of the rare instances where a line plays significantly better in context than in the lot.
they outright beat bloo and crown and I want to say BD head to head in drums several times all summer. I dont mean to be rude, but I do believe that the combined years of study and expertise shared by the perc judges far outweighs your experience. And if prosperie has them high, they were high.
If you really can't hear mistakes in this, that shows your experience. That being said, I already agreed that Prosperie liked them on the field, which likely means they played better there, than in this video. I can 100% guarantee you the Prosperie wouldn't miss a single tick in this video. The fact that he didn't catch much on the field likely means those ticks didn't happen on the field. My original comment stems from the idea that most lines (evidently excluding this one, and a handful of others) play equally or worse on the field (read: on the move) than they do in the lot.
I think they overdid it with the split snare parts.
Once you see it in context with the show, I think you'll change your mind.
Wrong. I saw the show live several times, and 1) it was rarely clean, and 2) it did not work well even if it was clean. If the splits were done once then it might have had more effect. As it was . . .
I would reply to you, but you instructed me to shut up.
To answer your question, no. In the thirty three years of watching drum corps I have never once managed to catch the Cadets book.
you say that, but everyone else disagrees. Mostly impressive, not overdone. I cant argue the cleanliness part the whole season, but they locked it in every night during the championships.
but with the splits for the whole line, I agree. not just for snares tho.
*4:10** - We get it, you vape.*
