I have a big window in the garage. If I didn't have the window, I would probably hang some LED grow lights above them with timers. 12 hours on 12 hours off. Thanks for watching.
I’m in Mansfield my plant gets full sun. They are in medium and large pots. How often should I water them because sometimes they get flowers and then they blow away or fall off. Am I doing something wrong?
Hi from Liberty Hill! I have a beautiful potter bougainvillea new this summer and I’m wondering if I need to give it a trestle? Mine has two large, tall branches full of flowers and a small branch in the middle. So it isn’t quite as round as yours.
Hi! Liberty Hill neighbor! I've seen them done both ways. Mine are happy trailing along the big rock and the ground, but you can also let it reach towards the sky with some kind of trellis. You will have to tie them to the trellis, as Bougainvillaea don't naturally twist around trellis' like other vines do and you'll be taking this inside (I use my garage) during the winter. Hope this helps.
Thank you so much for sharing this. It was so helpful to me! Your rock garden is beautiful and quite the inspiration! (Austin, TX)
Glad it was helpful!
They are so pretty. When you bring it in the garage do you keep in under a light and keep it watered?

You can leave the Bougainvillea outdoors until the leaves drop and store them in a cold garage, no light needed, water only a little bit once a month.
Thanks! I'll try this. I would love to save these each year.
Can you Milk these or no cause its a shrub ?
Nice trick with the rocks to hide the pot ❤️

They love water every other day in this heat and fertilizer every month.
