4 years later I have come back to this video that I used to sit and drool over all the time. I'm excited and slightly overwhelmed to say that I've managed to somehow acquire a slightly used CRS! I honestly thought it would never happen and these amps were just out of my price range forever, but I've become a major strat lover and decided to move on a Gibson ES335 that has gone up a little in value, which has allowed me to buy this amp. Slowly buying and selling has finally led to me scraping together the money to get my dream amp. This channel played a pretty big part in my gear search and learning what sounds I love. Will always appreciate that!
Mick speaks about stuff like this with more authority than anyone else on You Tube. Listening to him speak about it is nearly as good as listening to him play. Wonderful stuff.
That’s very kind Angus, thank you. There are soooooo many people out there who know way more than me, and I’m lucky enough to chat to some of them from time time. We’ll try and get more in front of the camera!

He is a Really Great Guitar Player. I have been saying that forever. I Love when Mick plays slow, with Chorus and/or Tremolo Sounds . . . Beautiful Chords.
For the first time ever I’ve heard “that sound” that’s been in my head forever!! Absolutely stunning, Mick! Incredible tone, such amazing playing and feel. Thanks for the brilliant videos chaps!
Here's my buying-a-Two-Rock story: I saw Matt Schofield on That Pedal Show. That's it. Knew I had to have one. Then I was left a not vast but also not trivial inheritance. Now I just have to get good enough to deserve to have it. It IS revealing. You'll improve or you'll sound like crap. I'm sounding just a little less like crap so I'm past being able to be satisfied by anything else. I got the Bi-Onyx and switched the tubes from EL34s to 6L6s and got the Schofield 4x10 cab. I don't sound nearly as good as Mick but that's not the amps fault. I get the audio equivalent of glimpses of how good this amp can sound and yeah - it's a Two Rock alright. Wait. Is that a Collings I-35? Damn it. Here we go again. Sell the boat I guess.
Hey Jeff, our condolences/congratulations in equal measure. You’re right about the revealing thing - it can be frustrating at times, and I really wish more kids/people who are convinced digital is finally there could experience a musical instrument like this. For sure it’s not for everyone, but man the inspiration and creativity this thing brings out it me is remarkable. And some of my other amps too to be fair, in different ways. The guitar is a Gibson Memphis 1958 ES-335. I would love a Collings I-35 however I was looking for a really classic 335 this time around. Cheers!
Thing about digital is that no matter how good it is (and it is very good!) it wouldn't effect me the same way. Listener might not know the difference recorded or live but I would know. I've played my Tele, Les Paul CS, Es335 and Strat through this TR (I did say it was a nice inheritance) and having done that I can't have the same experience with a Helix, whatever. Two Rocks, Friedmans and other high peso hand wired amplifiers aren't for our audiences. They're for us, whether we deserve them or not (there's no way I do).
BTW get yourself a $150 Gretsch Jim Dandy (let me finish) put electric 10s or 11s on it and play it (blues) like it's electric. Unbelievable sustain and gain. I wouldn't mind an amp sounding like that. Through luck or whatever, they're amazing little guitars. They don't require a case or gigbag. Can't break one and the dents and scratches just make them play better.
Such a fantastic guitar that. It’s the ultimate paradox. A lot of people would assume it’s a one-trick pony with just the one pickup. But it’s so versatile it’s crazy! Lucky boy. The 335 was nearly a Collings because the Collings is a better instrument..... but I wanted the full body size and classic 335 thing. Probably the hardest guitar decision I’ve ever had to make. 21st century problems right?! Thanks for watching!
Mick, this was a truly enjoyable story. I’ve watched a few times now, enough to make me up my backordered Studio Signature to the Classic Signature combo. Now you’ve gone and done it! Thanks for this wonderful bit of storytelling!
Winning, Mick. The double-cut is unbelievable through that thing. What a sound! Enjoy and congrats on the success that brings to you this level of tone bliss.
Couldn't agree more. I own one - serial 03. Totally, head-over-heels in love with it. It is an instrument in its own right, and its versatility isn't to be overlooked, either. It can push out a ton of different tones - even without pedals. Also, I find it to be quite picky with pedals, despite what everyone tells me. When you have a standard, base tone that is this good, only the best pedals work with it. It shows up their flaws like no other amp! But when paired with the right overdrives, the tones are simply unreal. A true marvel of engineering, and a dream tool for me as a musician. I was waiting for this video for ages - thanks, Mick!
Adam Lee I agree. It takes every pedal for breakfast. But reveals how good or bad the pedals are. The ones on my board are the best I could find for my sound and playing. I test every pedal through my Two-Rock before buying it. Now I have a board with 10 pedals after a couple of years of searching for the best (for me). It also meant that my board costs as much as my amp lol. As you said: the amp sound is so amazing by itself, that a weak pedal will stand out.
That was some smoooooth ass playing at the end what feeling... THAT is what its all about GETTING THE LISTENERS TO FEEL WHAT YOUR PUTTIN OUT AND WOWZER YOU MICK NAILED IT ❤
Mick and Dan are doing 2 gigs a week on TH-cam and thousands of people are turning up. The word fraud should never be uttered again. I sit visually what looks like 6 to 10ft from you guys and watch and listen to you play and get a free education on TONE. Best gigs I've ever been to!!!!!
Same here Mick! My introduction to Two Rock was the Mulholland Dr. segment on Mayer's DVD. I distinctly recall freeze framing the DVD to get a look at the name plate on the amp!
Thank you sir. I guess I don’t want anyone to think that I think of myself in the same artistic ballpark as those guys. They are artists, I’m an enthusiast, and I’m totally cool with that. :9)
OOOOHH MAN that tone at the end with your Collings beauty is hairs up goosebumpingly fabulous!! Even after your lush Strat and hot totty Memphis. This amp is THE BUSINESS!
I'm coming back to this video every couple of weeks. These tones and the playing is so tasty. Still waiting for the in depth presentation of that amp! I bought one because of this video by the way.
I recently got to play through the actual Mulholland Dr. amp John used in that WTLI clip and it was without a doubt the best amp I have ever heard. Now I am here wanting this amp lol
Thank you sir. I think it’s moving me to new places, because I thought played badly in this! Or at least short of how ‘well’ I’ve been playing off camera lately. I hope that doesn’t sound like false modesty - it’s actually a sign of improvement I think!
Mick. I read your comment & fast forwarded through the playing sections again before replying. I didn't hear bad playing. I heard a man who cared deeply about his sound.
Hi Matt, really enjoyed that. This might be hard to do but be kinder about your own playing. I am reminded of what Ty Tabor said after he put his guitar away after listening to Van Halen I. He then realised that his job was not to be better than everyone else but to be himself and express that through his instrument. Great playing (as ever!), great story and a great amp. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you sir. I just feel weird being in the company of great artists is all, and want to pay them the respect they deserve. But thank you for the kind words. One thing is for sure, this amp is surely helping me be me!
I’m rewatching this 5 years later, and I got a Studio Signature 35w head, and now I wonder how it compares with the CRS since the SS is often considered as a “baby CRS”. I wasn’t ready to spend big bucks to get the CRS, but I still wonder if at some point I should simply just resell my SS and finally get the CRS.
Fantastic tone! I thought for sure Mick would end up with the Two Rock TS1 after watching him play the Dumble ODS. Loved the lead sound on that video. But you can't argue with this Two Rock model either.
I have a Two Rock Custom (model before the Custom reverb when the original Two Rock owners still owned it)I started off trying to love the drive channel for years. I LOVE drive channel when I can crank it super loud but I only get to do that at outdoor festival style gigs. For the lower volume stuff, I finally started using OD pedals through the clean channel and now have fallen in love with that over the drive channel at low volumes. Specifically a tchula. though had a Analogman KOT as well, that sounded amazing too.
Yes!! Been waiting for this :) what an incredible amp! Please do a full length video on this as it just seems to scratch the surface here with what it can do. I have an incredible amount of amp envy right now with the sound coming from that...
@@ThatPedalShow I finally saw a few more demos of this amp with High gain pedals and with some classic rock and country music , so it seems to one of the better "Pedal Platform " amps to be had.
My story for getting a Two-Rock: I saw Where the Light is, just like you did. From then on it was my dream to have a Two-Rock. Weird thing is: at my retailer (the guys there are friends of mine), they said they weren't impressed by Two-Rock. So, that delayed my purchase because I trust them. But I couldn't set it out of my mind and ordered the Two-Rock studio pro 35. It arrived at my retailer. We unpacked it. They weren't expecting much. I plugged my custom shop strat in, and played a couple of notes. The hair on my arms stood right up. Then one of the guys there, who I've known for 23 years now and is a semi-pro guitar player, wanted to gave a go. I gave him my guitar. He started playing and couldn't stop playing. In the end the guys at the shop played it all afternoon. Only when I got home, it was my time again to play it :-) Until today, I haven't heard a better amp. In fact, I'm thinking of buying the new Traditional Clean from Two-Rock. But still have to save up for it. There are other amps that really impress me, like the Matchless Clubman 35, Dr Z Maz Junior (which I also own), Mesa-Boogie Lonestar special, Jackson Ampworks McFly,.. but I always return to my Two-Rock and realise: this is my amp. This is my tone. This is what an amp should be. Yes, they are expensive, but they are worth it. So, if you ever have the chance to play one, just do it.
No arguments from me. Mick here. :0) Congrats on finding something that genuinely inspires you. For sure it won’t work for everybody, but finding the thing for you is a big day. You don’t want to hear this, but you will LOVE the Traditional Clean. It’s an exceptional amp. :9)
Thank you for this episode, filled with wonderful stories. I really appreciate the sincerity of your videos and how they are to-the-point. I watched this one twice. Would like to see an episode entitled: Master volume, with or without you?
living the dream! thanks for sharing the journey - finding "your gear" is a such a crazy experience - now you gotta find time to enjoy it, sometimes that's the hard bit.
love how youre gushing over this amp. i got a studio pro and its the best amp ive ever played and the best way i can describe is the sound is 3 dimensional. one thing is if im playing sloppy, these amps are not forgiving. one day i would love to have a custom reverb or a classic reverb.
TPS show on plugging right in? Perhaps covering different tones you can get with different pickups, pots, split-coils, coil-taps, phasing, parallel vs series, etc.
Thank you! We will absolutely do that. I do less Andertons after a period of intense day-job type work and I had to pull back on the fun stuff. Also, I was always a little uncomfortable in the ‘demo’ world because I have such narrow tastes and abilities as a player. I dislike most guitars, for example (unless they were designed sometime before about 1960. ;0) It doesn’t always chime well with a retailer hoping to sell new stuff! Nevertheless, thank you for the kind words. Dan and I love Pete (and Lee) very much. They are dear, dear friends. Cheers!
Interesting comments about that guitars. perhaps you ruined them for yourself with such a beautiful strat. Not to mention that 335 in this video (if that's yours).
Wowsers! What a great sound! Wonderful playing too Mick. By the way, that mini vent on slow is amazing! Closest pedal I’ve heard to get that Joe Walsh Leslie thing.
Cheers Bill! I’ve really fallen in love with the Mini Vent. Such a cool sound. I was expecting some complaints that I’d used effects when I was talking about the amp. But this is That Pedal Show.... ;0) Thanks as always for watching!
So Mick, do you still tend to gravitate to the TR gain structure and the EQ2 setting? I went into owning my CRS expecting to prefer the TR setting, but I’ve actually been leaning toward the Black Face (down) structure. The main reason that I stick with the EQ2 setting is that I can bypass the tone stack without scaring myself. If I set volumes for EQ1 then bypass… well, I’m guessing you know what happens. You may even have been able to hear it from the other side of the pond. 😂 I also really dig the FET boost… though I understand it’s not everyone’s cup of tea.
Usually yes, sometimes I go to the lower gain structure if I’m wet dry… just takes some of the hugeness out of it. But never EQ1 like you say. Just doesn’t work for me. One thing I have been trying of late is to get the master up to 10 or 11 o’clock. Or preferably midday. It just seems to sing better up there…:: but of course that gets way loud. Arghhhhh!
Just fantastic. It’s nice to hear you talk about the realities and limitations that stop us just going out and buying everything. Anyway, great video, great sounds, great playing.
Anyone who knows anything, knows all Matts have incredible touch and feel. Just ask my Gi....no I'll stop there. Srsly lovely amp, lovely playing from Mick.
Love this video, love your playing, and love two rock amps. Would love to see a discussion on tube rectifiers s solid state. I’m finding tube rectifiers as a through line to amps I bond with, and would love to hear your and Dan’s in-depth, thoughtful take on the subject.
Totally with you on the 'feel' thing. I've also thought similarly about guitars I own, I have a Suhr for example. I'm hardly a highly-skilled guitar player, so it might seem like I should just get by with a Squier or something. But the way a guitar like a Suhr, or an amp such as a Two-Rock actually makes you 'feel' when you play - that is, as you say, all the difference in the world.
That crafty fiddle with the g string tuner - 335 and les paul players everywhere know that one. Being constantly out of tune is the price of TONE. I love Mick's enthusiasm about this amp, exactly how I feel about my '77 Vibrosonic (neighbours be damned).
If you haven’t heard the Where the Light is live album (dvd is cool but not very portable) from John Mayer you haven’t really heard what Mayer is all about. Totally made me see electric guitar as more than just screaming high gain and annoying shredding. He works up to higher gain but his cleans and feel are just beautiful. Not many people I love watching just play guitar but Mayer and Mick with his strat (don’t put the blue one down) are both great. That one pickup (whatever it is) sounded really good cranked however and got your blood pumping. Mick bout came out of his seat. He was feeling it.
Mick: Nice ES -335! As a longtime owner of a dot neck reissue (a 1991 acquired in 2005) Congratulations! Such a good guitar. I look forward to hearing what you do with it in future videos!
Cheers Bryar! I’ve had two before and moved them on out of financial necessity usually. Hopefully that won’t be required for this one because it’s the nicest one I’ve played in years! :0)
That Collins guitar is the sound. What a great amp. I have the studio 22. It is a Princeton reverb on steroids. In no way can it produce this soundscape. Great video.
What a great perspective on this! I have been looking through old vids, have you fellas done a comparison between the classic reverb and the Bloomfield Drive? I would love to see that as I have never been able to even see a two rock before... ): and from what I've heard, these two are probably both my dream amps...
Finally!! I was waiting for you to show off your Classic Reverb Sig for a while now. What an amazing amp... I plug mine into a 112 cabinet loaded with a WGS12L. Sounds great too!
It is indeed WGS' take on the EVM12L. It doesn't sound exactly like an EV however, as the WGS12L has more presence in the mids. The person who talked me into trying that speaker kept telling me that it was like an EV - powerful, high headroom with a lot of punch and clarity - but with more character and more akin to a guitar speaker than an EV (which, as you know, some people tend to find a little sterile). I would tend to agree with that statement. When exchanging emails with Eli, he actually advised I stick with an EV as he had not tried the WGS12L, but I'm glad I went that way. AB-ing my Classic Reverb Sig with & Two-Rock 12-65B and the WGS12L, I notice a little more punch in the bottom-end and clarity in the WGS, but slightly more presence in the mids from the 12-65B. I'm quite happy with the WGS12L as it allows me to keep carrying a 112 cabinet (albeit a heavy one) and it can handle the power the Classic Reverb Sig delivers. It also gets the amp a little closer to the bold(er) tones à la SRV/Philip Sayce IMHO.
Wow! I just want to say this show has cost me more money 💰 than I could ever imagine! BUT my tone is out of this world. I guess I may need to try this amp out!
Such lush tone even without reverb or delay - spot on. I would love to see an A/B with your Two Rock, a dumble clone and the super. It would be interesting to visualize their EQ curves as well to compare the blackface mid scoop to the stronger mids if your amp
Hey Mick, Not sure you answer questions on old posts. But here is my questions: do you use the two-rock in a wet-dry set up? If so, I assume you would use it wet (?). What would you combine it with? A Marshall type of an amp? Would you use it as dry in a different set-up?
I had an earlier Classic Reverb 50 and played a a 35 studio pro, I like the Studio Pro much better than teh Regular Classic Reverb 50. It just sounded more alive . The Older Classic Reverb sounded way too polite for me. . This New Classic Signature seems to sound more open and less sterile as well.
You mentioned John Mayers sound on Continuum - I guess for most guitarists a sound bible! - he plays Stevie Ray Vaughans old Dumble Steel String Singer on the album which you can see on stage during that time as well. Interesting to know now which of Two Rocks Amps tries to get that sound…
Hi Mick! THAT is a HUGE-HUGE sound. I think this is one of the best of Two Rock's amps so far. How I wish I could afford one. But hey! I'm happy with my Studio Pro Plus. I bought a 50 W combo. I asked your opinion beforehand if you could recall it. I think Matt Schofield was right: more is more, so I don't mind I didn't chose the 35 W. Nowadays I'm thinking sometimes that a head and cab sounds better or at least fuller although I'm very happy with what I have. Thanks again for your thoughts on Two Rock amps you gave me roughly 2 years ago and many thanks for the sonic experience in this video. Congrats Mick!
Thank you Zsolt. Studio Pro Plus is awesome. I had the regular one as a 50 and it was immense. I only sold it because I was broke. :0( Fantastic amps. Thanks for watching!
Ah, it was a painful choice if I’m honest. A) the Collings is a better instrument, no doubt. B) I wanted a full size 335 and the classic form so that it’s a useful reference piece for the show. It’s a cool guitar and sounds great, so I’m not moaning. Just feel a bit bad that it’s not a Collings - I love those people.
Y'all should definitely make a update video on Dan's& Mick's pedal boards. I know my boards changed quite a bit since the last video and I'm sure yours too
Beautiful Mick. I have a 62 reissue and a 335, so this amp and the sounds you make are very inspirational. Thankyou so much. I hope you can do an overview of your pedalboard in the not too distant future. ? Congratulations on your achievements. cheers
That Pedal Show two rock themselves kinda did one with Matt and josh but it was short snippets of each varied tone imo. I know you guys would kill it and do a great job. You always seem to "use" the gear as most players do and along with some stacking examples of the FET with bypass and even some pedals thrown in the mix, that's kinda what I'm looking for. Strat, Tele, Paul as well would be awesome.
Arrghhh, it would be cool to do that, but we don’t really demo gear in that way.... if I do it for the the Two-Rock, we’ll have to start doing it for other stuff which changes a lot of things at our end (not least needing a lot more resource to get the work done). Nevertheless, people do want us to demo stuff. Food for thought maybe!
Hello! How would your CRS compare to the beautiful 1973 DR103 I've seen in some more recent videos? The massively dynamic, "Fender with mids" cleans of the Two-Rock seem like they'd stack up nicely against the Hiwatt.
Very different things. Almost entirely different in fact. Our Hiwatt is a very ‘hard’ amp, for want of a better description. That’s to say something about the envelope of the note is always fast and direct. With the Two-Rock and a Strat for example, it kinda blooms forth and back that enables more dynamics off the volume control especially. A lot of people call it ‘3D’ and it’s what we’d equate with a really well sorted, powerful black panel Fender and, of course that whole lineage into Dumble type amps. The Hiwatt really doesn’t do that. Much more ‘2D’ by comparison. Visceral, brutal, not subtle. A better balls out rock machine perhaps. Kinda feels like it’d need an always on comp and a decent valve overdrive to get more touch sensitive stuff happening. Cheers!
@@ThatPedalShow Appreciate the response and insight! "2D immediacy" and "3D dynamics" nicely capture the differences in voicing. There's so much into amps of this caliber that really need to be experienced than heard. Been looking for powerful midrangey, punchy cleans and headroom as a departure from my usual gainy Mesa Mark series amps. Vintage Gilmour mysticism vs arguably one of the best proper modern boutique amps on the market. Decisions, decisions!
That 335 is perfect man... I've played one just like it '58 plain top... It was about 5K, if I could I would have owned it! It was the best guit I've ever played!
4 years later I have come back to this video that I used to sit and drool over all the time. I'm excited and slightly overwhelmed to say that I've managed to somehow acquire a slightly used CRS! 10/10 would watch a program with a series of short stories told by mick
The love and appreciation you have for your life shines through your guitar playing. Thank you.
Thank you, I’m grateful that it comes across like that, and not just showing off or whatever. I genuinely do love this thing that we get to do. Thanks for watching!
peepeeland So true! I feel that from both Mick+Dan and it's what sets them apart, imho.
This video made me want a Two Rock CRS. I got it a few months ago. Mick make sure two rock sees these!
The Es-335 into the two rock is just an amazing sound!
It really is. Anyone who likes a clean sound will figure it doesn't get any better than that. Micks dynamics too. Gorgeous.
Jeff Morris I agree! Makes me want to get a 335. Micks playing never fails to impress me.
He is a Really Great Guitar Player. I have been saying that forever. I Love when Mick plays slow, with Chorus and/or Tremolo Sounds . . . Beautiful Chords.
Michael Caz don’t forget the mini vent! It sounded very good!
I disagree, the amp sounds much better with single coil.
MICK! If you get to Nashville I know the guy who has John's Mulholland Drive Two Rock amp from Where the light is. I'm sure I can arrange a schwang!
TOO COOL! Cheers Zach!
For the first time ever I’ve heard “that sound” that’s been in my head forever!! Absolutely stunning, Mick! Incredible tone, such amazing playing and feel. Thanks for the brilliant videos chaps!

Hahaha!!!!
Thing about digital is that no matter how good it is (and it is very good!) it wouldn't effect me the same way. Listener might not know the difference recorded or live but I would know. Doyle, Matt, Josh, Eric, Tomo ... and now Mick. It must be magic
Alan Baral you can add Doc from Dallas to that list. Gonna snag me a Bloomfield Combo for my Xotic Strat! Ho baby!😎
I think it is, honestly
Mick got his 335!

I really like Mick's playing.
I keep coming back to this video. yes I want one....
Had the Studio 35 for years also. Thanks for this vid, just bought the CRS and absolutely adore it. Each day switching it on and it's another journey.
Woooooaaaahhhhh!!!!
Give yourself some credit Mick, you are definitely not a fraud... I can listen to you play all day long 👍👍👍
Thank you sir. I guess I don’t want anyone to think that I think of myself in the same artistic ballpark as those guys. They are artists, I’m an enthusiast, and I’m totally cool with that. :9)
The most convincing defence of GAS I’ve ever seen!!!!! Sounds awesome, congratulations Mick.

I'm coming back to this video every couple of weeks. These tones and the playing is so tasty. Still waiting for the in depth presentation of that amp! I bought one because of this video by the way.
Thanks! I've been thinking about going a bit deeper on it. I've learned so much about the amp since making this video. Soooooo much. :0)
Man, that's an inspiring sound.
You’d make it sound pretty special Chris!
What a lovely amp. Good for you man. It's a pleasure to see someone truly happy like this.
Mick - everything I said on dans Hampstead video about you and him co- creating a signature amp. Forget it. This is it. This is amp heaven.
Haha!!! Thank you!
As previous comments Wow! Each guitar sounded just so right and more.
I recently got to play through the actual Mulholland Dr. amp John used in that WTLI clip and it was without a doubt the best amp I have ever heard. Now I am here wanting this amp lol
Lovely. It's that wonderful circular thing where the amp sounds amazing so the player feels confident, relaxes & plays like an ace.
Mick Taylor is becoming the best Mick Taylor guitarist I've ever heard. Good onya!
Haha!!! That is a wonderful comment Justin and I thank you sincerely. Means the world to me. :9)
Wait?? Doesn’t kick Taylor play with the stones and John Mayal???
That Pedal Show excuse me “mick” not kick
Oh man, with that Mini Vent .... just about made me cry.
Thanks!
Yep! Amp OD of that nature really needs to be cranked IMO. Mick here. Power section needs to be doing its thing. Glad it's working for you!
Great amps and Eli and Mac are both fantastic guys. I have the Traditional Clean, I love it. There's nothing like a Two Rock. Congrats Mick!
My lord, what beautiful tones! Great choice Mick! Two Rock is well....rocking it!
Yes!! Been waiting for this :) what an incredible amp! Please do a full length video on this as it just seems to scratch the surface here with what it can do. I have an incredible amount of amp envy right now with the sound coming from that...
The way Mick talks about his Two Rock is how I feel about Les Pauls. When I finally get one, I will feel like that!
The love is real! Good luck on your quest Markus!
Sounds incredible!
Totally stuck between one of these and a traditional clean though 😭
If you want Mayer, go TC. If you want some hair on those balls, go CRS. Cheers!
@@ThatPedalShow the absolute best advice I've ever heard. Lmao 🤣
Just threw down to get one of these. I anxiously await it's arrival !
Ooooohhhhhh! Congrats!
Only when I got home, it was my time again to play it :-)
Until today, I haven't heard a better amp.
That Pedal Show Damn you Mick. Now I not only want it, now I NEED it. :-)
That amp is just... wow. A thing of sheer beauty
That anp is simply awsome. The mids in its tonal range really suit your playing!
Thanks for sharing guys ! It’s inspiring to see how passionate you guys are about gear.
All the best !
Cheers
Thank you for this episode, filled with wonderful stories. I really appreciate the sincerity of your videos and how they are to-the-point. I watched this one twice. Would like to see an episode entitled: Master volume, with or without you?
+Tomsdrawings great idea :)
living the dream! thanks for sharing the journey - finding "your gear" is a such a crazy experience - now you gotta find time to enjoy it, sometimes that's the hard bit.
Tell me about it!
Tell me about it!
This might be my favorite “Out Guitars and Gear” yet! So stoked for you Mick, you guys do amazing work.
Where the Light is is one of my favourite examples of guitar playing of all time. :)
Incredible sounding amp
love how youre gushing over this amp. i got a studio pro and its the best amp ive ever played and the best way i can describe is the sound is 3 dimensional. one thing is if im playing sloppy, these amps are not forgiving. one day i would love to have a custom reverb or a classic reverb.
Yup, a full featured Video dedicated to the Two Rock would be appreciated Mick ;)
TPS show on plugging right in? Perhaps covering different tones you can get with different pickups, pots, split-coils, coil-taps, phasing, parallel vs series, etc.
Much as I like TPS, I do miss your Anderton's collaborations with Pete. Best guitar demo videos on TH-cam. Get him on here as a guest some time.
AWESOME!!! And that ES335 is beautiful!
Never clicked on an our guitars and gear video so fast. My dream is that two rock and the ‘61 AC30 in a wet dry setup.
Oooof!
I also really dig the FET boost… though I understand it’s not everyone’s cup of tea.
Arghhhhh!
Wow, I can’t even imagine EQ2 with the master at noon. In EQ1, that doesn’t seem too outlandish.
Thanks for the follow-up!
Amazing thanks for sharing. Looking forward to hearing more about that gorgeous 335!
That Amp and 335 Sounds amazing Mick. The amp particularly suits your style of playing whatever guitar you are using.
Thanks Peter! It definitely is ‘home’ for me. Still settling in and learning where everything is of course. :0)
That's some of the best time I have heard too. As good as anyone you can name! Stellar!
What a great sounding amp. The last piece with your Collings was simply fabulous. Unsurprisingly, I need a Two Rock Custom.
That crafty fiddle with the g string tuner - 335 and les paul players everywhere know that one. Being constantly out of tune is the price of TONE. I love Mick's enthusiasm about this amp, exactly how I feel about my '77 Vibrosonic (neighbours be damned).
Well, it’s the price of Gibson at least. ;0)
Appreciate you speaking from the heart. Much love and respect. ✌🏻
You guys keep blosing my mind with all of these equipments that I have never heard of. Thank you for the i introductions!!!
I’d really like to hear that speaker - that’s the EV-style one, right?
Tread carefully Tom. This way madness (and happiness) lies. And no matter what anyone says, money can absolutely buy you the latter. Cheers!
Cool ending! sweet amp! pleasure to learn from you guys!
Need to try one of these asap
So Mick has a heart after all! Great seeing you so moved bro I can really sympathize with that :D
Check out the Silver Sterling Signature, and also the now-not available JM Signature. I think he probably played a bunch of amps on that record.
Finally TPS Our Guitars & Gear with Mick's new gear !!
Honestly Strat into Two-Rock sounds great, but 335 just killer :)
Awesome playing...awesome amp. I love the sound of all the guitars through it but I have to say,the bit at the end with the Collings is just DAMN!
Thank you kindly! I was playing that guitar through this amp last night at a rehearsal. Soooooo lovely. :0)
Thanks for watching!
a 335?! finally mick! congratulations. can't imagine how hard it'd be to decide between that and collings
M I audio boost
I'm not a huge fan of John Mayer, but I will say that "Where the Light Is" is an absolutely fantastic album. I mean, it is GOOOOOD.
Killer tones, Mick.
I’d love to play through that amp!
? Congratulations on your achievements. cheers
Please do a full featured demo of the two rock classic reverb signature.
Maybe one day Daniel. What would you like to know particularly?
Cheers!
@@ThatPedalShow
Appreciate the response and insight!
I love mine Max. They’re about £3200 new. There’s a near identical one in Andertons at this very moment. (For that is where I got mine!)
Stratsational tone there man. What a beautiful combo Mick!!
Thank you sir!
Cracking amp! I totally get the analogy about the car and can identify with the way the amp makes you feel. I’m exactly the same with my Mesa JP2C.
Wonderful review, any chance you could review the Silver Two Rock?
Two-Rock, such fantastic amps!!!
