Great guide! Helped get my first clear vs this, but just letting people know. You don't need to have amazing AOE healers. Yes, they do help a lot, but there are certain units that can replace them. The only healers I had during my clear were Ansel and Skalter, who isn't a true healer. Using units like Mountain, I could handle the left side and because of his S2 he didn't need healing. I just provided some support for him with Skalter's seaborn from time to time, but more for the attack buff than anything else. Obviously used more 6* than this guide, but still.

I couldn't get a single healer besides the guaranteed one at the start. For picking the guard, supporter, and medic. So I only had Hibiscus, Myrtle, and Spot to heal. This really saved me. ^~^
Its incredibly frustrating to just lose to him when going in without knowledge about him popping the AoE from hits done to him. I set up super fast and then my exu killed my entire team in 3 seconds flat.

Thorns can pretty much kill everything no matter air or ground so... Its a reason I make guide with him as core, he can carry team through most of normal and Emergency maps.

Or all 3 in my case. 😂😂😂😂 Then you instant-win without having to do any fu**ing thing. Edit: Just put Chongyue's S3 against the boss, set up some healers, and MAYBE put Monst3r on the other side. I promise you will not lose that way.

I did this boss for the first time w/ a caster oriented squad, lol that didn’t work 😂 Kept using their skills when sad lock has its shield up, didnt know the shield was that tanky.
If you fight this stage long enough it will spawn both ways. But if you want to know which way it spawn first, it will be the same way with the first enemy.
This guide is quite wrong since it shows Thorns hitting the boss - he is one of the worst units for this, since his poison ticks count as separate hits, triggering the doll's AoE attacks way faster. I wonder how many people failed because of this. He makes it much, much harder for you to survive.
It's true that Thorns will trigger boss AoE skill more frequently. But I tried many times with him, this video is the lowest survivability run with no survival collectible, still I cleared stage with no E2 medic. And one more thing, Thorns can carry every other stages of the run, this is why I choose Thorns as main DPS, not others.
They can but you shouldn't. Boss' AoE skill active every 20 hits it receive so Exu will active its skill rapidly. Your whole team probably dead before Exu can kill it if your team not tanky enough.
@@villgernumber1132 It might be a dangerous practice howewer since the global hit relies on how many times the boss gets hit. It shouldn't stop you might be careful about that.
@@alphalightning00frost67 You must defeat Blood Diamond on Medium or Hard and complete the run. Then, Encounter node will have chance to be Banquet. You might need to retry many time till it appear because it totally random.

In fact,you'd better replace Thorns with Blaze because Thorns' poison is also considered an attack,and will trigger the AoE damage.

Schwarz really makes this stage into a joke, Blaze, Perfumer, Amiya, susurro and schwarz were enough for me to clear the stage without losing points.

You can also use the thingy which guves 100% atm buff during first second on skill activation. And just use an offensive recovery phsyical unit.

Bruh, I defeat him by stacking life points beyond 30 since I didn't know how to trigger the last event to get that item.
I think pallas would also be a great replacement for Thorns, if not better cuz her dps can get nuts due to how AK buffing works in IS2

It doesn't even make sense.....
Shield active depend on how many hit it take so some high Atk Speed or multiple-hit skill will trigger it sooner.

Have a chance to appear at Encounter node. Try to go through as much as Encounter possible after getting the scissors to maximize the chance.
When first try trying this stage, Exu wiped out my team lmao

Does that shield really have cooldown? Cuz it just cast it back to back when i fought against it. Twice. Daymn
It has cooldown but doesn't expire, only refresh when it cast shield up again. If you don't have enough DPS, you will never be able to damage it.

That stage is a bit hard to pass with only 1 6*. I'm finding some ways to clear it with lowest investment possible.
Can Fartooth s3 replace schwarz?
Fartooth prioritize attack lower DEF so she will target something else sometime but she can still kill it, just a bit more time.
Does Shining's S1 need any masteries or it's fine at SL7?
