Id love to hear more about your thoughts on thr foil market. Ive been purchasing common foils and uncommon foils for $2-3. I feel like thats a fair price as that's half the price of opening a pack. But this is from a collectors perspective not so much a player. Love the content!
I think they’re criminally under valued especially on the premium ones. I think they maintain more value over time than most cards so how you’re buying them seems fair to me. I hope to have more data but we haven’t even listed our foils for sale that much yet tbh
I went to a LGS for a starter deck challenge. Got a starter deck and entry to the challenge for $15. Also bought a single pack for $5.39. I got to talk to the owner. He said he wanted to sell everything MSRP so people will like him and want to support the store more even once supply is everywhere. I joined a local discord group for the game and everyone as a community are keeping tabs on what places are above MSRP and by how much. They have a list for the future on who to support more and who to go to for future game releases. I had a blast at the starter deck challenge today. I got the Ruby/ Emerald deck. Played 3 rounds of best of 3. I lost all 3 rounds but I had a lot of fun playing the game. Also walked away with all 3 promo cards and the Ariel pin. So I'm happy. I have another one tomorrow at a different store. It was $45 to get in but it includes a few boosters to add to the deck. For that one I want to pick the Amber/ Amethyst deck. I might just stop at the 2 starter decks for now. Part of me wants to get all 3 but I think 2/3 is good enough for now.
Yeah prices are absolutely outrageous right now. It’s a combination of high demand of a brand new card game, and stores only getting very limited quantities (low supply). Wait a little bit for stores to get more of their shipments and prices will fall as the game gets more affordable. Reprints down the line will also remedy this.
Pretty much every single card (except for a few very chase ones) at TCGplayer is already going for about half of the price in this prediction. Hopefully that means the closed product will get back to normal prices in a few weeks as well. Would be lovely to get to play the game without having to spend insane money
@@Time2Pretend90 oh for sure. If you can find sealed boxes. We saw Blister packs and and LGS yesterday. I think that’s what they will end up being at the big box stores.
So what is the range of what a competitive deck costs at this point? It would have to be in the hundreds of dollars at least. I really hope it comes down considerably or there will only be casual play for the game.
He discussed mostly non foil prices and then suggested how volatile foils could be and how their hard to narrow down. Will have more Information soon on the foil market.
My average card prize is 0,35 cent I only bought Common Uncommon and rare cards. All cards show potential in being more priced, dragon breath, Maleficent blue, Flynn Rider, Tinkerbell tiny tacitian and similar cards.
Those are the low prices which quantity is like 1-3. I can assure you many commons sell for much more lol and they’ll rise after the initial wave of product is all listed
Look, ill be the first to admit the prices WERE overinflated. Now that the dust has settled and people are starting to see whats meta, the prices have evened out. Repunzel GWH is about $50 at time of writing this. Thats because its META and A LOT of people dont understand what that is so they complain about it. SO i will explain it: When a card is good and universally used in the top decks, it WILL BE EXPENSIVE. It sucks but thats the way it is and always has been in every TCG.
@TheForbiddenMountain I wanted to let people have some so I ended up with 5 BB's, biggest things were a full Playset of stitch, tinker, 2 alts, and almost a full playset of some of the meta cards
@@TheForbiddenMountain I ended up building stitch and only was missing 2 cards, 1 rare maleficent and 1 rare dr.facilier, decided to put 2 ariel instead since I didn't pull any rapunzel

Presale prices are crazy, the deck i want to build, would cost me about $962! Thats with using some of the cards from my starter deck

@@Rayquaza8944 Elsa’s will be 200 same with Belle that’s over $400 for just 8 cards out of 60 definitely possible to spend over $900 to build a deck

We said the first few days will be a flat race to the bottom. After the initial surge of LGS Boxes. The prices will rise again until September 1st.

I will be DCA into booster boxes. Started with 5 yesterday and will buy 1 per week

It will be in the hundreds of dollars no matter what. That's just how TCGs work. Hopefully it cost more around 300-500 instead of 1k a deck.

My LGS got 48 booster boxes because it’s a premier location. The owner reached all the requirements
One of our stores received 120 boxes. But most only got 24.

I can promise you we have been selling commons for over a dollar and we’ve sold over 70 of some of them at that price.

I paid $140 for a box in my area and was able to buy 2. I got lucky i guess
We found a store selling 4 boxes per customer at $150 ea. wasn’t bad at all.
