Frustrated to death trying to grasp Stewart's explanation in the solutions manual. You nailed it! Many thanks for clearing this up! You should be authoring textbooks.
Muito obrigado!!! Seu vídeo salvou eu e um amigo na resolução prova olímpica da Unicamp. A ideia é bem intuitiva, mas a prova vai ser de suma importância na resolução do problema, mais uma vez, obrigado.
It was just sloppy writing, so it's supposed to be an x, it just looks like a lamda. :) I use a tablet that plugs into my computer to write, and sometimes it doesn't pick up every part of the stroke because I'm not close enough to the surface. :/

At 2:19 you said "we'll take the partial derivative of f with respect to x" but wrote the partial derivative of f with respect to lambda. Why?

You are the most underrated TH-cam math tutor and iam feeling sorry for that 😭😭
Thanks, alaska, I appreciate that! :)
thanks a ton. it's really helpful. 😊
Thanks a lot❤
what would you do if the question asked for integers? I'm guessing the answer would be 33,33,34 but how can I prove it?
instead of using x, y and z, you could use x, x+1, and x+2 as your numbers, and see if you get integers. :)
thank you so much
_says 8 years later_
what software do you use to make this video? ..i mean to write the calculation..
It's called Sketchbook, it's made by Autodesk. :)
this is the greatest math video I've ever seen, god is good, but Krista King is gooder!
How do you draw these? Graphics tablet?
Yup! I use a tablet. :)
I think the problem is algebra, at least mine was, you solved it
